I've seen the antennas, and noticed network degradation when I pass through the area on my walks. I'll be on the lookout for the antennas more often though because I definitely seen some but just wasn't sure if they were live yet.

So randomly decided to check my engineering screen and I saw that I was connected to n41 tower on 215 and Inwood Manhattan 20 megahertz worth of bandwidth

If I just use the Google keyboard instead of the Samsung keyboard with the Google Voice to text. It's better as it seems to be doing server and on device translation. While the Google voice-to-text solo application seems to only be trying to do server-side which is slowing down the speech recognition.

I don't know how much everyone else voice types but this latest update has really destroyed voice recognition for me. It is defaulting to the Samsung voice recognition and if I do switch it over to googles it is unbearably slow now when it was super fast before.

Using the Samsung been selected application. You go into the more network settings. Tap on the Sprint active Sim in the next menu. Tap the Advance menu. In the Wi-Fi calling preferences you tap and change it from over mobile network to Wi-Fi calling priority.

If you have a Samsung S 20. You're pretty much using T-Mobile network as home native. 2019 5G devices they still have access to Sprint's 5G if it was still active in your respective market. Till they are shunted over as well. But that is market dependent.

This update has some modem improvements from what I can tell. Latches onto signal faster than before. When switching between data wifi/lte/5g there is less hang between when a data sessions seems to be established.

I'm not really feeling this. When Sprint actually launched 5G, the network it was like a few blocks of a substantial geographic city block and connected neighborhoods. When T-Mobile launches it's literally a "block"!. This is just to puff there chest a bit. Also the discrepancy with regard to where they have a 20 megahertz wideband and a 15 wide band because that's the same where I am. I lost 5 megahertz over the weekend believe I noticed. Tmobile is burdened here. Its fine on the street for n71 10 mhz as it stands, but every other LTE only device its kind of trash.

How is Milan getting those stupid high speeds then? That looks about proper from what was capable from before. I've noticed that my other line which is an iPhone is connected to tmobile as well. So I expect movement to be swift if they are already moving devices over already.

I'm assuming you're going to do this anyway. But could you for switch between Sprint native and T-Mobile native when you're down there to see what they may have taken offline to increase Spectrum to 60.

So I took a walk around my neighborhood yesterday. And did some speedruns of the street level performance and I will say that I came across really impressed. With the addition of the higher band Spectrum besides the low band I can see where this is going to go. Got close about 300 down in one section, low was of 15 down so it definitely ranges.

It depends on your market. For me it is was band 25 profiles and band 41, that I enabled personally. I an not familiar with the tdd blocks band 41 is in as I have macro and small cells in mine at different frequencies. So it enabled all of them. I figured one would stick.

Yeah it was only for the domestic roaming in the mobile connection settings on device. Not dialer menu, to clarify!

I specifically mention this was due to my personal experience. Just to state that before I continue. I experienced that because I enabled Wi-Fi calling while connected to Sprint as the secondary Roaming Network and it disconnected and did not reconnect when moving back over to Wi-Fi to Sprint data. Which at some point prevented my device from reconnecting when trying to establish data and voice afterwards. So in case someone attempted what I did at some point, data transmission would not occur and would leave the network status bar grayed and x'ed out . It's just to clear the profile and refresh the system so it does connect. Which is why I made big deal in post in regard to messing with the Wi-Fi calling settings. In regards to the CA profiles. They're deactivated with the update at least for me. I was only getting 1 carrier performance when connected to band 41. I enabled CA profiles for band 41 in the service menu screen. I would say use basic knowledge of what bands, Sprint uses for Carrier aggregation. And if you mess up you always can reset. I'm not super technical I just read, and pieced it together so I can only give you my success and failures.

The one thing I do acknowledge is that T-Mobile load balances very evenly between their bands. So at least there's consistent performance, from my observation

I'm surprised you didn't notice that before. But even when I first updated they had 20mhz on LTE only 10 MHz for NR. Which attributes to my chagrin of the current situation. That extra band of frequency is on loan from one of the other holders of the band 71 auction. So this current slice of frequency won't last very long unless they enter into a long-term agreement for it. And also as everyone starts waking up and it starts getting aggregated with their other bands it will slow put a majority of the rest of the day down to like less than 10 down for a majority of the rest of the day. Rn 42 up and 50 down on singular 20mhz LTE, . 34 down 9 up on 10mhz NR Adding: I do believe its Dish spectrum so may stay online after.

I've tried to force my network back to Sprint. When I attempt to the network is blanked out in signalcheck check I can see the towers but I have zero network access to it. I can see that T-Mobile has been 25 enabled on their Tower. But I no longer can connect to my normal Sprint home Tower at all. So it may be useful in a Market to Market basis.

I mentioned this is the s20 thread. But considering how overloaded T-Mobile's network actually is the chances are relatively high they would keep a lot of sprint sites for capacity expansion purposes no? NYC is not a good representation of the face they want to put on. Those smalls cells Sprint invested in def made a difference as well. Even when I was on Google fi i would force the network to Sprint in most cases.

I did attempt to force my phone back on to Sprint. And I only have access to band 25 not bad 26 nor band 41. Even with 3x20 wide carriers for T-Mobile for 71,66,2 aggregated, speeds are not breaking past 13 down. Only 10 megahertz is allotted to 5G for band 71. For current total 30mhz in that particular band. Interesting enough the endc software is activated on that particular Sprint Tower so I do believe it means it's 5G ready because when it was connected to band 25 it showed 5G in the status bar. Going to take a guess they may keep that sprint site for capacity purposes.The tower for me has a 20+20+10 arrangement.I would normally pull 90 down at this from it, over band 41 LTE.

Some seemed to get it at 3 p.m. I got mine at 4 p.m. so it's definitely a staged rollout
