  1. digiblur Note2 ROM - MA7 - 2013.02.25

I've always enjoyed a nice simple to the point ROM on my phone. It seems many ROMs start out as this but tend to stray quickly so I have shared mine for everyone. If you are looking for some heavily themed ROM with 68 notification toggles, everything turned purple, etc, then press the back button now.

What the ROM does NOT have:

    - Some cute name

    - A cool team name

    - beta or alpha version number

    - themes

    - crazy zombie jumping out the phone for a boot screen

    - kiddie boot sounds

    - annoying Sprint boot animation/sound

    - dumb Sprint shut down animation/sound

    - stupid camera shutter sound (turn off in camera settings)

    - idiotic 777468(SPRINT) code requirement on the ##DEBUG# menu (entire prompt is gone)

    - tons of Samsung bloat

    - 1.21 gigawatts of overclocking

    - unnecessary carrier customizations that screws up Sensorly

    - eyeball icon in the taskbar (removed properly)

    - goofy "You have lost data..blah blah" message when switching to roaming (we have a triangle on our signal already!)

    - cute version numbers in the About phone section

    - etc

    What it does have:

    - 1X signal type display corrected (shame on you Sprint!!)

    - 4G icon replaced with easier to see LTE icon

    - slightly modified battery icons

    - PRL Write enabled in the ##DATA# menu (-PRL Thread Here-)

    - 4-in1 reboot mod

    - All apps multiwindow mod

    - KISS principle

    - Dry humor in the ROM first post

    Changelog

2013/02/25 - corrected issue of factory reset after flash showing black background and no status bar. Also included a patch for the removal of the prompt at ##DEBUG# screen.

2013/02/24 - Removed the calls to show the "eyeball" icon when smartstay is turned on. Removed the 100% battery notification. Removed FWUpgrade.apk. Removed the "You have lost data connectivity" nag when you switch over to roaming. Look at that! I didn't add anything new but released a new version! WOOHOO

    2013/02/19 - Initial Release

    Screenshots

None needed as it is stock. Just a status bar shot is necessary

    STATUSBAR.jpg

    Installation

Make sure you have flashed the MA7 all in Firmware by t3project (Here)

Install in TWRP (data wipe is optional but you are on your own)

Look in the system folder to determine your ROM version number

    -DOWNLOAD 2013.02.25-

    -DOWNLOAD 2013.02.19-

VERIFY YOUR MD5 AFTER DOWNLOADING! Androidfilehost.com doesn't calculate them and show them for kicks!

    Notes:

    - If you are in an LTE area please do your fellow Sprinters a favor and map your area with the Sensorly App in the Play Store Download Sensorly. Open the app, click Map Trip, then Start, and drive around your area. Hit Stop and check the details screen to make sure your data points are uploaded. Check your Sprint LTE coverage maps in the app a couple hours later for your results.

Attached a list of the APKs that were removed. If you need one of them, download the full stock DeOdex ROM, pull the APK you need, and put in this ZIP before flashing.

-viperboy-, t3project, garwynn, rwilco12, androidfilehost, Compusmurf, and any others I may have missed that brought us the MA7 base and mods (PM me). Feel free to rip anything out of this zip file for your ROM/work, just be respectful and give credit to myself and/or the folks I listed here.

Hello digiblur...Would u mind to explain me step by step how to install this ROM? I am not as smart as u guys on these things...pls..Thanks
  2. I can't really blame Sprint. I'm more upset about the wimax deployment because I never got it and they gave up on it.

At least with LTE I can see the growth and eventually it will be more widespread.I

Sprint gave me an airave so I can't really blame them since they're making an effort.

Robert I'm in diamond bar which is 20-30 miles outside of los Angeles.

I also live in a house right next to a hill so that could play a part.

ohh man..my cousin lives there and Seriously Sprint has to do something in that areas...service sucks there..big time...But if u check on sensorly LTE is getting closer to you..there is are live signals on the 57 and by san antonio college.

thats from the ones on san fernando..if u botice its pretty weak..I work at portos bakery and inside I dont get any 4g as soon as I go outside I get.but barely reaching 1mbps down.
  4. Glendale, CA here. We have 4G near San Fernando Blvd and parts of Brand near the city cent

Its getting better every week though.

Also my office is in Tujunga. CA which is the last place I would expect 4G but it full on!

Just wondering, how do you know when a site goes live and it's exact location?

because I know where they are..i looked them on the Los Angeles network visuon site map...and i know its l8ve because when u get close to them....speeds jump up to almost 28 or 30mbps
  6. East Pasadena 4G service is non-existence again. Also getting really poor to no voice signal. I hope sprint gets their stuff together, this is getting ridiculous.

ohh my friend u have to get use to that....Here in Glendale today was funny....switching between LtE 1xrtt evdo ehprd and the restriction symbol...its been crazy today
  7. What I mean is, it's possible those panels were never actually Sprint. That the Sprint legacy panels were removed at the same time that the NV panels went up.

Those certainly appear to be T-Mobile panels, which leads me to believe that Sprint was never at that level.

    T-Mobile LTE Panels:

ohh yeah those are..exactly...they look like that from the side
  8. Sprint NV panels do everything, no need for additional panels for 800mhz. Those new panels, could you get a closer shot of them? They look a bit like the new T-Mobile LTE panels.

let me check i think i got another shot from the side,,,but the think is they are in the place that legacy panels(the old sprint ones) were..so i dont know if thats possible that another company take that place..iu dont know,lol..let me check if i have the other pics

Hey Robert yesterday on my way to work I noticed that Alcatel was working once again on site LA70XC132 and i ve been wondering why this site is taking soooo long and also why the placed the Network Vision panels down the legacy if they are supposed to remove the legacy ones later and as higher the panels better..right??but here is the thing.. yesterday I came back like in the afternoin the guys left already but i noticed such an interesting thing the changed the legacy panels and they places new ones white they look brand new different shape and the old ones had logos on and those new ones dont and they faced them little bit different thatn the old ones..like facing the big Glendale population....the first pic are the old ones and the second the new ones...Are they for 800mhz or what??

  10. Looks like they either turned on another tower or expanded the coverage in Glendale. As of around 11AM I started getting an LTE signal in my office (when the front half of my office has had it for about a month)

    Speed test results:

    4.65Mbps Down

    0.27Mbps UP

    46ms Ping

well gotta check tomorrow, maybe they turned on the site on San Fernando,on that cosmetic college.I wish this site is being under upgrade for more than 6 months.
