Or those areas that only Verizon covers sprint could build out. If I recall correctly Son said something about building out where there was only one roaming provider which I'm assuming is vzw
if this were actually the case, Wouldn't the connections vzw and att established have helped sprint because it doesn't seem like it did. Separate fiber runs were made at many of the sites where every other carrier had 4g broadcasting. But we'll just have to wait and see
I love sprint but I see why they give themselves a bad name. Im surrounded by all nv complete sites and things like late text messages and calls that never come through still happen. I shouldn't have to deal with this on an "advanced" network.
51100. It doesn't happen all the time but I find my phone on 3g a lot when I take it out of my pocket whenever I'm out and about and maybe that's the reason
Does anybody's phone ever just "forget" it has band 26 and just drops to 3g? Here's what I mean by that. Whenever I walk into my basement I know it will drop band 25, but sometimes instead of going to band 26 it will just drop to 3g. A quick radio cycle in the same spot and I'll be connected to band 26 at -108dbm. Anybody else experience something like that with this phone?
Ok so I've done a few days worth of testing and here's what I've found. Having band 41 enabled on my s5 murders my battery. With it on I average about 4 hours with regular usage. With it off I've been getting between 6-7 hours of screen on time before my battery dies.
they have to do something though. What are the chances the $8 billion in capex this year and next would go towards b41 expansion as well as additional sites with all three bands
Edit: sorry for getting off topic
and that's what really concerned me about the CCA plan. What really stops big red from just gobbling them up. IIRC Son mentioned something about doing an organic build of the network where there was only one roaming provider-which im assuming he was referring to vzw-so if that is true that could definitely help where a CCA partnership isn't feasible.
yeah they need to put that to good use by increasing the density of the network they have and a smart expansion to areas that could use increased coverage.
It's always next year with sprint. They need to stop with their obsession with T-Mobile and get on this or expand their network. Just seems like they take forever to get stuff done
