  1. Hopefully someone here can help me. I have an iPhone 6. There is a tower near my house that has B41. one of the guys in the premier forum that I was talking to, was there yesterday and had B41 and had 66mbps download speed. That tower is less than a mile from my house and I verified that I am connected to it with the old *3001#12345#* and checked my PCI etc. and I get either band 25 or 26 from that tower. I did the ##update# and restart several times. and I closed all programs and actually drove to the tower today and sat there for 30 minutes. And I never connected to band 41. What gives? thanks for any info.
  2. Here is the data log, can't seem to post the picture. 1. 3. So I've located the towers that are near my main stomping grounds. Waukee tower and tower off of 156th. I confirmed my house pulls from tower off of 156th street. I get band 25. HOWEVER if I toggle to airplane mode and then back off, it will pull band 26 for a minute, then go back to band 25. Why does it do that? Do all these new towers around here have 25and 26? is one faster than the other? On a side note, from interstate on Hickman, west bound past Waukee, all along there I am getting 4-22MBPS down and 2-9MBPS up. very good numbers. trying to post my ookla speed test numbers but the file is too big. trout
  4. I am trying to find the app "signal check pro" but it looks like it's for android only. I have an iPhone 6, any apps for me? I have just been using the keypad for phone calls and dialing *3001#12345#*. To get tower information. But I would rather have an app. Thanks
  5. I was driving west on highway 6, Hickman, and don't know where the tower is, but between Stivers ford and the new hy-vee, I got full bars, so I pulled over and did a speed test. 10.19mbps down and 5.41mbps up. Those are good numbers. I looked around but didn't see a tower, only thing that looks like tower is on top of the old Carrier air condition building across from Dahls to the north. On another note, I would like to donate to the site. How much do you have to donate to have access to the tower maps etc? Thanks. Trout
  6. I am a new Sprint customer as of today. I purchased a 64Gig iPhone 6 and the iPhone for life program, unlimited everything. I actually live in Waukee, Ia. Suburb of Des Moines. I had Verizon for three years with great coverage and good speeds pretty much everywhere. Recently, last 4 months, I have noticed reduced speeds on Verizon and occasional call issues, though not terrible by any means. But at home I was only getting 1-1.5Mbps download. I was intrigued by the unlimited data with Sprint, as I was going over my allotted 4 Gigs regularly. Well I took the plunge today and so far I'm HAPPY. At home I connect to Band 26 here in Waukee with -98Db and got download speeds of 5mbps and upload of about the same. Voice quality is super and I love the iPhone 6. I haven't traveled around town too much yet, and will report back when I have, but VERY happy with Sprint and the unlimited data and 60$ a month cheaper bill is a no brainer. Looking forward to Spark someday, but I have been throughly testing the download speeds with movies and music and I am impressed. I have better speed in my house than I have for 4 months with Verizon. This site helped persuade me to switch, thank you. Trout
