  1. I have been holding onto my ED plan until Sprint made me an offer that I couldn't refuse. Well they did. A couple of days ago I logged into my account and clicked the the change plan link to see what it would show. It showed that I was eligible for the 40 GB Family Share with no line access fees for $120 a month. So I called Sprint to verify. The rep I spoke with confirmed I was eligible for the plan and that I would not be changed line access fees. I ask her twice just to make sure. She also claimed that I will still get the loyalty credit on the lease I currently have. Bottom line is after my employer discount I will be paying almost half what I was paying for 3 lines. I took the offer. Essentially I traded my unlimited data and subsidy pricing for a cheaper bill and built in hotspot. I never used more that 15 GB total between 3 lines but the fact that I will get unlimited 2G beyond the 40GB instead of being charged for overages made it an easier decision. I would suggest all existing ED plan users to check what Sprint is offering right now as far as alternatives. It may actually be worth it to switch. Sent from my iPhone 6S Plus using Tapatalk

  4. I don't think the issue is with the backhaul. Most likely they are still working out the agreements. BG has already had a LTE roaming agreement with Verizon for a while. That may be playing a big part. Sent from my iPhone 6S Plus using Tapatalk
  5. I'm thinking yes. But I suggest contacting Sprint Sent from my iPhone 6S Plus using Tapatalk
  6. Depends on your plan. They also have a slew of gift card offers for leasing phones as well: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/phones-communication-promotions/mobile-phone-cell-phone-sale/pcmcat125500050005.c?id=pcmcat125500050005 Sent from my iPhone 6S Plus using Tapatalk
  7. FYI if you are eligible Best Buy has them for $49 on contract right now. Sent from my iPhone 6S Plus using Tapatalk
  8. If you go with the 6S Plus, I would suggest getting a slim case and a screen protector and relying on a protection plan instead of a bulky OtterBox. My 6S Plus fits in my pocket fine and doesn't seem that much larger than my 6 with the OtterBox I had on it.
  9. With Apple, there will be that one new great thing that is not backwards compatible with the previous version. That's Apple's track record recently.
  10. Maybe I never looked into it enough but for TMobile's and other's free music streaming, does TMobile charge those streaming service providers a premium to allow their service to be streamed without it counting against the user's data allotment? Allowing free streaming is one thing. Charging the service provider a premium to allow the free streaming is the exact opposite of Net Neutrality.

  12. FYI all Apple watches are $100 off at Best Buy starting today.
  13. There is no LTE roaming in the Western Kentucky market yet. As far as roaming and off network roaming issue, that sounds like a glitch. That area is Bluegrass Cellular with a little Sprint sprinkled in. BG is 3G roaming + and won't count off your roaming allotment. Sent from my iPhone 6S Plus using Tapatalk

  15. As of writing this post, only about an hour and a half until we find out what the big surprise is.
  16. Not greyed out for me! You are eligible for lease pretty much anytime now. Especially with an ED plan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I do not think that's accurate. I have a leased phone on a line that is now eligible for a 2 year upgrade. Says so on Sprints site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Second carrier showing up in Elizabethtown now: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. So the verdict is that I believe this carrier is related to the cellular repeaters in my building and not any kind of roaming. After leaving the building I never got connected to the carrier. Even on the way home I never saw the carrier again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. They are not off the shelf but am not sure if they are Sprint only either. The cones distributed in the ceilings looks like what is shone in this picture: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0358/5537/products/2014041414374150_f4c7d284-d74f-4398-b9c1-f87ab6e034fd_1024x1024.jpeg?v=1419883401 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I haven't done enough checking around where I work yet but I find it strange that yesterday I didn't have any LTE service in my office (unless I stand next to a window) and all of the sudden a EARFCN usually reserved for a second band 25 carrier showed up and now I have service at my desk.
  22. Here is the curious part. I'm pretty sure I know/knew where all the Sprint towers are in my area in relation to my office building. And yet this new carrier signal does not seem to be coming from direction of those towers as I walk around the building. What is even more curious, but by no means a scientific test, is that if I got to the side of the building facing a tower that I believe doesn't have Sprint but has Bluegrass Cellular, the strength increases. Hmmm...
  23. FYI I found a second band 25 carrier in Hardin County this morning: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/5454-network-vision-and-spark-earfcn-logging-thread/page-9&do=findComment&comment=460119 Wonder how wide spread it is?
  24. Nice. What is curious is that I'm now getting a consistent LTE signal now with this carrier throughout my entire building where before I would have to get close to a window to get a LTE signal. We do have cellular repeaters throughout the building so maybe that has something to do with it.
