I haven't been to Borough Park in a while but I know that the neighborhoods nearby like Flatbush, Kensington, and Prospect Park South all have n41 on a bunch of sites. At the very least n71 should be mostly built out by now so I would expect contiguous 5G coverage there.

Unfortunately there's no way for us to track n41 deployment yet besides using cellmapper.net and even then, we can only track sites where T-Mobile turned Band 41 on. I do see a bunch of split eNBs for Band 71 in Borough Park though which means T-Mobile has likely touched those sites recently. At the very least they got modernized/new equipment. I'd guess that most of those splits also got n41 added to them along with the new Band 2/4/66/12/71 panels.

    Thank you.

The reason I ask is because I have yet to see n41 speeds and all I see is n71 for 5G and Band 2 and 66 for LTE. I have the iPhone 12 on TNX.

100% they do! Sometimes they tend to the issues quickly, other times the solution is not that straight forward or it's low priority. I've had pretty good success with it.

What would have been nice, is to get some sort of confirmation or update that they worked on the issue rather than find out weeks or even months later that they fixed it and you had no idea it's even been looked at.

    Bottom line, report it!

I’ve seen improvements in the Bronx these past two weeks and in parts of Brooklyn where I had made the network report. Glad to know that Sprint really does look into these and fixes them quickly.

They just recently lit up the smaller third carrier due to spectrum limitations. It's only 10mhz vs the usual 20. So nothing north of 170th street sees either 5G or 60mhz of LTE. But on the bright side that extra 10mhz is definitely helping and I also noticed more network optimization.

Best thing to do is report any place where you notice any slow speeds, since the network has been working pretty well for the most part, they tend to these minor pockets faster than usual.

Does Sprint really look into the network feedback comments? I’ve posted a few feedback comments through the app in regards to the network in the last week.

Interesting. Mine does not contain "SG".

You're going to have a different SIM card on that newer iPhone so the question is does it match the other iPhone's SIM?

I figured it out, I updated my software from iOS 12.4 to 13.3 and the PRL changed to 55071.

My wife also has a XS that we bought through Apple but under Sprint. I would have to check her SIM card later when i get home

My SIM card ends with SG10003a

I've had PRL's in the 5xxxx series ever since iOS 9.3.3 so I don't think the iOS version is the problem.

    Someone here mentioned the SIM

I saw that post on reddit and today I contacted Sprint via chat and they told me my PRL is correct but they can't explain why my wife's is 55071 and mine is 33046.

She is under a family plan with her sister's and I'm on my own plan on the byod but all my services work just fine. I just hope it does not affect my roaming.

    That might be it.

    That’s what I was thinking...

Will my coverage be affected in any way if I stay on 12.4 a few more days? I plan on going to Sugar Hill, NH for the holidays and on Sprint’s coverage maps, it indicates I will be roaming but it will appear as Sprint native coverage on my iPhone.

    I’m thinking i’ll be roaming on AT&T or T-Mobile.

    Please advise.

Have you done a ##CLEAR# then a ##UPDATE# since switching?

    Yes sir.

I’ve done both and even reset my network settings and still showing PRL 33046. I’ve rebooted my phone multiple times, I have even turned off LTE and done the update on 3G and still shows PRL 33046.

Any other explanation? I’m still running iOS 12.4 too if that helps. I keep reading about how buggy iOS 13 has been so I have decided not to update until Apple sorts out all the bugs.

Ported back to sprint yesterday. TMO was just to slow and getting slower (very large market share). After further optimization more band 41 going live sprint is getting faster and faster. Also, no volte live yet the I phone has the option, but the network is not making use of it yet here In El Paso. No band 26 as of yet.

Are you still with Sprint as your main carrier? How has the experience been like for you?

  10. Does Sprint plan on adding any small cells to help with the congestion in DUMBO? I was with my wife there the other day and although she had LTE, she could not load any websites and iMessages was not working. She has the iPhone 7 on Sprint. I am with Verizon and data speeds were around 2mbps down and data and iMessages were working just fine. I have the iPhone 6s.

I am so tempted to switch to Sprint due to the FLASH sale going on with the IPhone X for $5/month but this has made me a little hesitant and insecure about my decision and also not having VoLTE.
