  1. I can confirm that the sprint tower at the corner of Richey Rd and I-45s (North side of Houston) now has LTE active as of this morning. I rebooted my Evo Lte as I was getting ready to leave for work and it connected to 4g. I was getting 3 bars of 4g and the speed tests were 4.5mb -11.5mb down and 2.5 - 5 up. Sorry that I don't have the speed test screenshots or netmonitor info, but I had to do a factory reset of my phone about an hour ago...
  2. Robert, I switch between my og Evo 4g and Evo LTE a few times a week and I have never had a problem using the online tool to activate. I did find out that the online activation system does not work after like 11pm/12am cst. I switch back to the Evo 4g during the work week, because I use the Wimax alot. Just f.y.i
  3. Thanks for the Houston update Robert! Keep up the great work!
  4. http://www.phonearen...E-Review_id3030 A nice detailed review, including some info that I have not read before on pg 3 of the review: "Videos looked wonderful on the large, highresolutiondisplay. The EVO 4G LTE was able to handle all the different file types we threw at it (DivX, XviD, H.264 and MPEG-4) in all manner of resolutions. The stock video player has some tricks up its sleeve, like the aforementioned image capture, and the HTC Movie Editor app lets you edit your video clips on the go." My only gripe about the review is that he says it has a good to very good camera (except in low light) and then lists the camera in the "cons" section.
  5. I was just looking at phandroid.com and they just posted an article on a new LG phone. http://phandroid.com...isplay-and-lte/ The specs make it a total beast of a phone! Robert do you have any info on this?
  6. I pre-ordered mine from Best Buy as well. You just can't beat $100 in gift cards! Also, I have a feeling that they are going to lite up some LTE goodness on 5/18 (at least stop blocking the new phones from finding the LTE sites). They pushed up the release date an entire month on the new Evo and they are releasing the lte hotspot on the same day so it makes sense that they might offically launch LTE. I hope that sprint proves me right since I live in Houston!

If you pre order on the Best Buy website, you get a $50 gift card when the phone is activated! If you also signed up for the $50 off your next upgrade deal, you will get an additional gift card. That is a total of $100 in Best Buy Gift cards! WOW!
  8. It shipped today so I'll have to wait until Monday...
  9. I was mad when I missed this deal last time! I made sure to get one this time. Now I will have a new toy to play with until Diablo 3 comes out which will keep me occupied until I get a new phone!
  10. Thanks for the update! I can't wait until they finally turn on LTE in Houston! I have a tower less than a mile from my house so I should be able to get some nice speeds when it goes live!
  11. Keep up the great work! I registered yesterday and have found the site a great source of info.
