i noticed that if you go into the sprint coverage map on there website. and click 3G and MORE it shows coverage in south dakota by aberdeen. -
Yeah I took some pics of the tower and my signal check pro. Where should I post them?

They put it on a ATT tower. They just did the same thing in Minneota Minnesota north of Marshall. It's great. I can't believe they actually are building out. Gives me hope

They did put a new tower up in Vesta, MN about 3PM it went live today!!! Now I have coverage at home and from redwood falls mn to marshall! Pretty awesome! Happy guy right here. Too bad they didn't light it up with LTE.. But I got 3mbps on 3G but I'm sure it's cause I'm literally the only person in my area with sprint.

so today i turned on my old Samsung SII that i have in the drawer. (i currently have an iPhone) and i signal check pro keeps saying I'm connecting to Vesta, MN via 1x800 and damn near a full signal. but it shows up for 2 seconds then goes away. does that mean they are working on it currently to have it up and running? what are the time lines on these kind of things with new towers.

BTW.. I know its sprint panels up there because I talked with the farmer (my neighbor) about it and he said when the crews showed up at his place he was out talking to them said its for the sprint network.

Anyway I can find out about a new Tower in Vesta MN, sprint has panels up but it hasn't been turned on yet. its in the middle of a roaming area, they recently placed a new tower in Minneota, Minnesota. which is awesome because I take that way home to South Dakota a lot. but the Vesta, MN tower is near where I live and would be awesome to see if anyone knows a way of digging into finding out info on that tower. They added a rack to an AT&T tower there, same as they did in Minneota.

So I went to Sioux falls Saturday evening and from brookings down to Sioux falls on the interstate I was pulling 1.5 mbps and was able to stream spotify as I drove around the west side of Sioux falls.. It was actually pretty quick... and then on the drive home I took 90 east and up and I got LTE at the border. that made me happy!!

My Nexus 5 is terrible for LTE service around Mankato and Willmar. My friend with a note 2 had excellent LTE all the way to Olivia and I lost LTE 5 miles south of town with the nexus. I don't think people know what they are talking about with the antenna in the nexus.

So I just purchased the nexus 5 and I live in an area with very poor 1x1900 but wonderful 1x800 but my phone clings on to the weakest 1900 signal with no bars when the 800 kicks in I have 3-4 bars but as soon as I make a call or text it goes right back to the 1900 which is virtually unusable. Is there something I can do to put priority on 800 and 1900 second? Suggestions? Thanks

That would be just my luck to switch to sprint a month ago from Verizon and get the only phone that doesn't connect to 800 haha. What other phones would be good for signal in Fringe areas aside from the nexus 5? Is the G2 similar in signal strength?

How's the nexus 5? Does that have spark and support 800 voice? I live very rural and am on the fringe on 1900 voice it shows 800 voice on the tower 8 miles from me. If I can get a phone with that I am certain I'd have better signal at home.

Anyone have news about Marshall Minnesota. Saw a glimpse of 4g there today at work. I have signal check pro and my phone alerted me it was there for 5 minutes then gone. They have a new tower on the south side of town. They added equipment to an att tower. It still isn't on sprints coverage map but it is on this site upgrade map.

I work in the Marshall Minnesota area. And they seemed to have built a new tower on the south side of town (added to a att tower) it shows roaming for that area south of town but I get a full signal down there. And today when I was at work I saw 4g on my phone it was crazy! What market is Marshall Minnesota in? I noticed most of this thread seems to be all Minneapolis. Why wouldn't that tower show on the coverage map for sprint. But it's on the map for this site about tower upgrades. Random questions I know but curious

So I was looking on the update map for Marshall Minnesota and noticed there is a new tower there out by the Walmart. My 3G speeds are over 2mbps but I was wondering why if they built a new tower, that they didn't just put 4G in?

Any new news of when things will take off for this? or if they are planning some sort of announcement in the future for when the companys will coincide? i travel back home to south dakota often where James Valley Communications is. it would be great to use my phone there without having to worry about data roaming.
