  1. So the Note 7 with 3x has a theoretical top speed DL of 246? What is every ones personal record? Sent from my SM-N930P using Tapatalk
  2. So what is the theoretical top speed for each 20mhz of B41? Sent from my SM-N930P using Tapatalk
  3. Even though it is only 2x2 it is fast! I wasn't able to connect to B41. 3 but still had a speed test of 148 mbps last night. Sent from my SM-N930P using Tapatalk
  4. That is what I have been waiting for. I was disappointed when the Note 4 didn't make the cut for CA. I will be looking for places with speeds like that to test out. Hopefully the 3 carrier becomes a priority soon and they set the towers to use the 4x4 mimo in the Note 7 sooner than later. Even though it is not officially confirmed and not passed by the fcc.
  5. That is what I thought. @ home I rarely drop clear B41 and that is hovering from 95 dB - 115 dB. I was just surprised since the 69mbps was the fastest cell DL speed I have ever gotten. I have the Note 4 and can't wait to see how much better signal the Note 7 has.
  6. So is B41 becoming congested with so many devices capable now? I don't understand why it would switch if it had usable signal? The speeds were actually better on B25, I was confused since I thought B41 had the most bandwidth.
  7. I was over @ Huffman Park with my kids a few days ago and I got some great speed test results from I believe the tower on the Fairfield Storage lot. Download peaked @ 69 and upload in the mid 20's. Some on decent sprint B41 but surprisingly mostly on B25. I didn't think that B25 had the capacity for that high of results. I will check it out again when I get the Note 7 in as the B41 was bouncing from 2-3 channels according to signal check pro. Is there an app or a setting to prioritize the LTE bands? I feel like there was discussion of it in the past but I can't recall. Is it simple enough to be worth it or is the network better at determining that on the fly?
  8. I agree completely. I love music but the overwhelming majority of people won't tell a difference. And even then it will require having sources of that quality to begin with. I am sure it won't be long before Fiio comes out with a Quad Dac if it is that great. I currently use the Fiio E18 so as long as the usb-c adapter works for usb audio I won't be any worse off than I am now. From what I have read the Note 7 should be better than the Note 4 in the audio and every other possible category any way. I am not trading my Note 4 either way so worst case scenario I load it with music and play it through the E18 and just skip the phone altogether. That or down the road pick up a dedicated music source.
  9. I have pre ordered the Note 7 as well. I guess I will look into a dedicated DAP if need be.
  10. Looks like they are targeting the high resolution audio crowd. http://www.androidauthority.com/lg-v20-worlds-first-quad-dac-709306/
  11. http://www.androidauthority.com/lg-v20-worlds-first-quad-dac-709306/ This doesn't give much detail on the technical aspects but they are calling it a quad dac. I doubt the Note 7 will have this full set up. I will love it if it does, but I can't imagine they would leave that out of the release or that no one has found it. Just like the 4x4 mimo discovery. Even though Samsung does have an entire line of wireless headphones.
  12. I will have to check the supcase out. Looks like a much better value and less bulk than the Otterbox Defender.
  13. That is what I was afraid of. I am not complaining because I usually have a very usable signal. I don't miss the days of dreadful data speeds. It would just be nice to not always be in the area that is dead last on the list!!! In the dark days I literally had to go outside into the yard to make or receive phone calls.
  14. I will certainly look into that. I know that the forum is somewhat polarized on the topic of hotspot with root, but I do hotspot with mine and will lose that until I get root. I actually have considered adding a line just to free up a line to use as a hotspot with out the limit of GB.
  15. Same at the Best Buy I went to yesterday. I agree it just feels nice all around. It will take some time to get used to the "edge" screen but it isn't very pronounced. It is more of a lack of side bezel to me. Nothing like the original Note Edge. They are doing the same as in the past $50 down that goes on a BB gift card. They said they will have all the freebie items available on launch day and if they run out of the item you want they can order it and ship it free. Now my next mission is to find a case that doesn't completely ruin the edge aspect. I went with no case for the first several months with the Note 4 but it didn't have the edge display or glass on the back.
  16. They were great up until a couple weeks ago. They have an 18 month warranty so I called and she didn't even question it just said no problem is xxx the correct address? I have had them for just over a year.
  17. Are there any plans to convert the clear locations over to B41?
  18. Fairfield, Lindenwald, West Chester mostly. I get pretty good connection over by Mercy and along Rt. 4. Not so good in Becket Ridge. As a matter of fact it has dropped to 3g off and on the last few hours in Becket Ridge.
  19. Just pre ordered the Note 7. Now I will be on a hunt for 2x and 3x CA. Any one know where to look in the Cincy market for 3x CA? Coming from a Note 4 with no CA I am in the dark as to what parts of town are live with 2x and I can only hope that 3x is a priority around here.
  20. Honestly I was hoping for more too but there is a big enough improvement with the whole package that I jumped on it. It was more all the little things adding up than it was any one making it a must have. Seeing and holding it in person is much more impressive than the articles and videos. I am not retiring the Note 4 just yet. We will see real world once it comes in. The biggest concern I have is the Battery. I have the Anker 2 batteries and wall charger that I just rotate through. I haven't charged my phone by plugging it in for so long. I am supposed to be getting a replacement set on warranty. I hope that the battery is able to hold up. If the 3 I have for my N4 are all taking a dive at the same time just before the 2 year mark, it doesn't look good for any fixed battery. Aside from that it is a large step forward in every single category.
  21. Well I was weak, I went to Best Buy to see the shiny new toy and broke down and did the pre-order... I truly love my Note 4 but I am ready to get back ahead of the pack on the tech. I get pretty good performance and connectivity but not just missing the CA always bothered me. Now I just have to wait. And hopefully there will be root soon after it releases. I have gotten spoiled with my Viper4Android for audio. That and removing the bloatware are the only real reasons to root for me so far. Oh and the 256GB card offer is for the newer EVO+ so it is the faster speeds. I was disappointed that the specs were 90 write and 20 read on the samsung site, but the packaging on the cards at BB showed 90 and 90 so that was a relief. I wasn't sure what good a 256 GB card was going to do with such a slow read speed. It is a shame that they left the UFS support out of this go round. The listed specs are on par with the Samsung SSD speed performance.
  22. I know they used to let you upgrade after 20 months so you were locking into a new contract with out being able to leave. I don't know if it is a promotion or not but my line has been showing that I can switch to a lease only for several months now. I thought they were just enticing people into leases.
  23. I think since you are on a lease already you can just turn it in and start the new lease. I am not on a lease and don't reach the 2 years til Oct but I still have the option to start a 24 month payment plan or a lease.
  24. Yep. I am considering adding a line and picking the Note 7 that way. Although the gear fit is of no interest to me. The 256GB sd card would be nice but I would rather have a faster card than they are offering so the promo may not really justify this one. The $200 Best Buy card on the spot last time was great. Oh well. Maybe I will hold off and see what the consensus is on the performance rather than be an early adopter this go around.
  25. Has Sprint launched any tower side equipment capable of the 3X 41? If so what markets? Do we have a time line for widespread roll out?
