  1. Will this discussion be moving to the new T4GRU.com website?
  2. Yes I have a T-Mobile Note 4. Unfortunately I don't live in a market where they own the Band 12 license.
  3. Near the mail room. There is near perfect signal outside, just weak inside the building.
  4. At TA-3 I pickup 1X800 briefly but switch to Verizon roaming (signal isnt great either) as does my coworker. She just keeps her phone off. I'm going to blame my building. Nobody really gets good reception. Even Verizon LTE has issues there. On a side note about AT&T, forcing my T-Mo Note 4 into LTE only mode on B17, I've picked up AT&T LTE in Taos and in Santa Fe. It wouldn't connect obviously since there is not an agreement between T-Mo and AT&T. AT&T roams on Commnet at TA-3.
  5. That is what I dumped Windstream for, Black Mesa Wireless, a reseller of REDInet using Ubiquiti equipment. Having 10 up/10 down is amazing. I would be lucky to get 1.5 Mbps down on Windstream DSL.
  6. Try getting a speed test to even start on Edge. On T-Mobile, in an area where Edge is the only option, it means voice and SMS only. No data throughput whatsoever. On a side note, I wonder how T-Mobile got back haul so quick for White Rock, Los Alamos, and Taos, NM, given that these were previously Edge only sites and CenturyLink is the provider here. They also managed to get Espanola with Windstream which is even worse (at least their DSL is.)
  7. I was definitely on the new tower that Comment activated in February 2014 on the hill in front of my house due to the signal strength. I never got signal that strong from the Verizon tower down the road. This is when my service went downhill since my phone would fight between the two towers and why I left Verizon for T-Mobile, which I don't regret. T-Mobile LTE is 100% better than Verizon's. Comment's retail wireless chain is called Choice Wireless and they offer 3G here in the area (Espanola, Taos, Penasco) On my Sprint phone, Commnet only allows 1X. It is not likely that I'll see this again since I no longer have Verizon and it just happened for about 5 minutes before I connected to Verizon LTE.
  8. Actually Commnet has 3G EVDO in Dixon, NM. My Verizon S3 went crazy one day and connected to it. Signal Check Pro said it was 3G EVDO (I had never seen that before, only EHRPD on Verizon and 1X) and a speedtest confirmed that it was 3G.
  9. I'm currently on Verizon and I'm going to move to Sprint when the S5 comes out. AT&T doesn't exist where I live and T-Mobile has spotty 2G coverage. I'm tired of Verizon's over priced service and other things. I hope Sprint does LTE right with fiber connections. Verizon's microwave tech for LTE in Northern NM is not going too well, for me anyway. 3G is faster and there is no way for me to force 3G on my S3. This is a speed test from the other day in Los Alamos.
