Here in the Milwaukee market, they were doing 4G only towers for about a month or two trying to get as many 4G towers up and running. Since then they are only activating towers as fully complete, and bringing them up in clusters.

Ok cool. I think it is a regional issue and if you are not in a mature LTE market it will not connect. I just wanted to verify i was not the only one.

I was thinking the same thing. Mostly mature markets are the ones who have the LTE signals on the Nexus.

Does anyone in the Milwaukee market have a Nexus 5? I bought mine from the Play Store and have not been able to connect to LTE.

For those who are getting good battery life, did you do anything different to optimize it? I just went into location services and noticed a setting was listed as "High Accuracy". I switched it to "Battery Saving" as i am getting terrible battery life. I have been off charger for around 2 hours and am at 89% with hardly any usage. I may do a factory reset tonight if this setting does not improve it.

Can anyone recommend a wireless charger that can fit the nexus 5 and nexus 7 on it at once?

So far it seems battery life has been worse than my EVO LTE. Maybe i need to drain it past 50% to get the battery indicator to be more accurate. I believe the EVO LTE had a 2100 mah battery, so i should be seeing better life or the same.

I will see if i can. I can say that the hard plastic "bumper" is not the greatest feeling. I have a Diztronic case on the Evo LTE and its quite different going to a hard case.

Ive had the device activated since 6pm yesterday. Initial thoughts: Very solid feeling device, and very light Screen is pretty nice, i like the increased resolution vs my Evo LTE Battery goes in 5% intervals, which makes it feel like it drains faster I made a phone call and it was EXTREMELY clear, best sounding call ive ever had on Sprint I can confirm the device will not connect to LTE Kitkat is very fast, and the device is much faster than my Evo LTE. going back to the Evo feels like Slo-Mo I need to find a different case, i have the Spigen Neo-Hybrid and it is way to bulky, i will probably pick up a Diztronic case

Did they charge an activation fee?

Will do. I chatted with Sprint International and have a SIM being shipped to me overnight, which arrives today. I did go to the Sprint store on Sunset Dr. in Waukesha, and the guy said i could activate it their if needed too. I will keep everyone posted.

Im getting my Nexus 5 today and hope to activate it when i get home from work. One thing i have read is that some users are reporting "very high" LTE signal strength numbers. Im hoping to test this later tonight. My thought was that 800LTE was live in a few areas already. Anyone want to take a guess if this is true, and if so, think it's live in our area? Might have to do some sensorly mapping tonight.

I am assuming this is the page i will be able to activate the Nexus 5 from once i get my Sprint sim tomorrow?

Can someone tell me if the sim has to be specific to the Nexus 5? or will any micro sim that Sprint has work?

I went in to a repair store. I asked for a micro SIM and the guy asked for which phone. I said I didn't have a phone yet but it is a nexus 5. He said the SIM may need to be device specific? I told him it didn't, but he offered to test all the Sims they have by bringing in the device. That works for me. Pretty good service if ya ask me.

I got the Neo case as well. Do you think there will be an issue with wireless charging?

I think as long as you have the status as "Leaves warehouse November 5th" you should be getting it next week. Also, did anyone notice the White Nexus 5 has a White top speaker? I just noticed it on the unboxing reviews. I think it looks sweet.

My order was placed a few minutes after it was made official. Google wallet says the time of the order is 1:08pm...my status is still pending.

So do we need to visit a store to activate it with a sim?

I just bought a Spigen case for the Nexus 5. It will be my next phone. My plan was to buy it with no contract and if i dont see an improvement on the Sprint network i would jump ship to ATT. Do you think if Sprint sells it that it will be locked to their network?
