Nexus 5 still not getting LTE at towers in Waukesha that have 800/3G/4G complete.

Anyone get annoyed that you get the notification of 1X800...but it happens even when the phone is sitting on a desk...about 3 times an hour...just sitting without being touched..

yea my bad. I meant towers that were fully complete. Will test after work.

I can confirm that if you want the 4.4 update, do a factory reset on the device and you will see the update pop up once it resets. GL.

has anyone had an issue with people hearing you speaking on the phone. It's weird, if i hold the phone a certain way it gets muted or does not pick up my voice. Strange.

Well, i have been past a couple towers that have been marked 3g/4g complete, but was not able to pick up LTE. I will try again tonight on my way home from work, but updating profile and prl.

The N5 has been performing amazingly RF signal wise. I actually hit -52db the other day, which is the lowest i have ever seen on a device. My EVO LTE never went below -65 that i have seen. At home, im a solid -5db better than the evo, up to -10 to -12 depending where i am in the house. When they were testing LTE the other night, i actually saw full LTE bars in my house. Assuming the N5 shows LTE signal strength as bars. Can't wait till all the recently converted Waukesha towers get some LTE goodness.

Does anyone in Madison have the Nexus 5? Is LTE working? Curious to see if the N5 will be working when they turn on LTE in Waukesha.

My nexus 5 is picking up LTE inside my house!!! Oh wait...they must be testing... I had it for a few minutes and then it switched back to ehrpd... Sprint is teasing me!!!

I have some interesting results to show. Like i said previously today, i started to get 1x800 last night like most of you. I was not able to get LTE though (inside house). On my way to work this morning i held 1x800 all the way from my house, which is near Sunset and Grand ave in waukesha, all the way to 43 & Racine where i get on the on ramp. On the way home, i got 1xRTT until i forced it to toggle airplane mode at HWY59 & Racine. Being the curious guy i am, i thought i would force my Nexus 5 to LTE only mode for the rest of the trip to see how long i could hold LTE for. It looks like i held it ALL THE WAY home...didn't lose it once. Keep in mind, i don't believe this is a connection to any 4G accepted tower nearby...which there are not. The interesting thing is, Signal Check did not list the connection as LTE. I ran a speedtest and got low results, but i did get a connection. What do you make of the following screenshots?

I can create a tapatalk account using twitter, but i can not sign into S4GRU in tapatalk with with my twitter account.

Signal Check usually will show 1X 800 when connected to 800. There have been reports that it may show it as 1X RTT.

I've tried to use tapatalk but can't login using my twitter account...well last time I checked.

I can confirm atleast 4 towers are active with 1X800 in waukesha. I did a speedtest at my house this morning but was still receiving .45mbps as usual. Not sure about backhaul being done yet. I also tried searching for LTE on my Nexus 5, but no such luck.

1x800 started broadcasting from 2 towers in Waukesha last night. The one near hwy59 by west high school and on west ave and sunset. I will check for LTE after work.

So is the general consensus that the market needs to be complete before throwing the switch on 800LTE? What timeframe are you guys predicting for our market to be done?

Still no 4.4 update. I want to get this update to see if it resolves the issues with random reboots.

On my way home today i was picking up 1x800 and it kept dropping in and out. This was getting off I-43 on Racine avenue heading into Waukesha. I did not get back on 3G until i toggled airplane mode at Hwy 59 & Racine. Looks like we may be getting some action here in Waukesha/New Berlin soon.

I think it would be nice to have a running list of SE Wisconsin areas that can successfully connect to LTE from triband devices.

I had a blip of LTE at the intersection of 164 and Sunset Dr. in Waukesha. Never got a blip there before.

Im hoping the same thing. There have been no acceptances in the metro milwaukee area for 4-6 months. I really hope it comes beofore the end of the year!

I have the Neo Hybrid. At first i thought the case was huge, and that is coming from an EVO LTE with a Diztronic TPU case. I have got used to it, and i think if i dropped the phone the case would keep it pretty safe. I am a little paranoid from seeing a youtube video of the Nexus 5 drop test. It Insta-Shattered the front glass/screen.

I wonder if this issue will make Sprint want to bring VOIP sooner rather than later, if even possible once 800SMR LTE is active.
