  1. According to reports Android L drastically improves battery life.
  2. Funny how Wikipedia shows the XT1092 (FCC ID IHDT56QA3) variant with LTE bands 25/26 and no band 41. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moto_X_(2nd_generation)
  3. Can you confirm Punit Soni was the one that made that statement. Didn't he leave Motorola?
  4. I just realized I can make calls on WiFi using my sprint number with hangouts dialer app. Sweet!
  5. Does being on band 41 increase data usage? I was analyzing my data usage and noticed a drastic spike in data usage from 3 GB in May to 9 GB starting in June after the 4.4.3 update. I know having faster speeds mean more usage but i know I haven't been using my phone much differently since the update.
  6. IMO It shouldn't matter where u bought it from.
  7. IMO It shouldn't matter where u bought it from.
  8. Cool didn't even know they had a home depot there.
  9. Ridge hill is nice also. Tho, I'm not sure how Sprint is performing over there
  10. At 207th and Broadway I'm always on B41 today it seems to be parked on B26 for the first time, even after airplane toggle.
  11. Im curious, how are you making WiFi calls on GV? I was using Groove IP app but GV stopped supporting it.
  12. And to clarify I was not getting any LTE in my house until a month ago where I started seeing B26 in my living room and B41 in my bedroom. I have very thick walls and i think T-Mo has a site a block away from my house. Outside of my home Sprint mostly performs better than T-Mo out here in the Bronx.
  13. Here is a test I just did on Nexus 5 at home. Sprint vs T-Mo Sprint on the left B26 T-Mo on the right B??
  14. This is true and that's why the nexus 5 exist. All phones should be like the nexus 5. In my case I own my nexus 5 outright and only pay $50 a month on the framily plan with everything unlimited and have the freedom to try T-Mo or AT&T should I need to. This is the reason why these no contract plans exist.
  15. At least you have the FREEDOM of paying off your phone and taking it to the carrier that offers the best network in your area without being tied to a 2 year contract
  16. Lol I do feel like the oddball among my coworkers. I am the go to guy when it comes to tech tho. I have been running sensorly on my entire route where I have been getting great service all along it. Both terminal points where I take my breaks are 206 & Bway and Bay plaza have great B41 service. Great for YouTube and Netflix. Reason why I'm not picking out of the bx12 route. A year ago service was horrible in those 2 locations granted I had a GS3.
  17. I see you came by my hood. How did u enjoy the traffic? I drive the Bx12 so I'm there everyday and have been getting great service there for a few months now. It may have to do with the new Sprint corporate store inside the mall.
  18. Nice technical explanation of his problem. But unfortunately some people see the glass half empty.
  19. Sorry if I offended you, I was under the impression that a tri-band android phone wasn't good enough for you. For a lot of us in here it has been a great experience. I know in some areas the network is still need work but is nice to have access to B41.
  20. I'm sorry tri-band did not work out for you, I guess you are hard to please. As we have seen in here upgrades to the network have been made with great success in many places of NYC and many upgrades are yet to come. If you are confined to using an iPhone on Sprint then Hopefully the iPhone 6 will get tri-band access and B26 B41 will be more prevalent in your areas very soon. Its noticeable that Sprint is building a better experience, Don't loose faith.
  21. For me its the opposite i had an iphone 4s then I got a gs3, now I got a nexus 5 and I'm enjoying B41 70+mbps. iOS is a communism, android is democracy. My N5 offers me the freedom to change carriers by simply changing the sim and enjoy the best LTE Sprint, T-Mo and At&t have to offer, Something you can't do with the 5s or the GS5. I would never go back to iOS. Never rooted my nexus and have zero maintenance problems. Its fair to say that android OS is not what what it use to be, specially when in stock form. IMHO is very comparable to iOS stability. No OS is perfect, both have their issues. I hate when people automatically associate galaxy to android like is the same thing, or how galaxy is the go to phone when switching from iOS. What I don't understand is why would you try out the GS5 having a bad experience with galaxy phones in the past. Galaxy's main problem is touchwiz, you should have tried an N5 or M8. To each it's own I guess.
  22. They are both unlocked. Sprint is selling you the same phone you can buy from the GP store. Unlocked and free of Sprint bloatware. [emoji6]
