B26 panels have been added to the Morning Sun Rd tower in Oxford.

AT&T has a history of doing this -- as they did with AMPS/TDMA sites when they phased over to GSM.

Oh, no. You can still drop calls in areas that are not 100% NV, which is most places. If an old 3G tower gets ahold of your call, all bets are off. Data issues are even worse.

Well, not sure if it is the snow on the ground, but now I'm getting 3-4 bars at Dad's house when a call is in progress. Still only one measley bar in standby, and data is still slow. I did upgrade his WiFi router from an old Linksys 54g to a newer Asus 802.11ac. It did improve the coverage inside his house a little bit, which is nice with my Republic Wireless phone...

Same thing happens at my Dad's house. 1 bar of 4G outside, inside 2-3 bars of 3G that are not reliable. Solid 4G coverage on Sprint's map, although he is in the lighter-shaded area. Nearest "3G" yellow-shaded area is nearly a mile away from his house. Seems like a case of miscommunication between marketing and engineering...

Handoffs are finally working between Liberty, IN tower and Oxford, OH towers. Apparently someone finally loaded the correct candidate PN information!

I should probably clarify -- by "clearly listed on Sprint's maps," I mean "clearly listed on http://sprint.com/coverage as a 4G data area." The tower maps in the sponsor forums still show quite a few 3G-only towers (and they are putting out only 3G, many not even 800 yet). Getting mad that Sprint would show this area 4G when it is not. When they shaded in the Dayton area, they were conservative. But now that they've also done Cincinnati, they've clearly jumped the gun.

Everyone complaining about not having B41 yet makes me laugh. Now, if I could just get some LTE love on the half dozen or so towers in Butler and Wayne counties that don't have it yet, but are clearly listed on Sprint's maps as solid LTE, I would be happy.

Sprint now has the entire Cincinnati area listed as Sprint Spark on its maps: http://sprint.com/maps HOWEVER, there are several areas where my phone doesn't get 4G and it should, which tells me some of the towers may not be cranking 4G yet.

Could be an issue with the Moto X or being with an MVNO.

Got me some INTERNATIONAL ROAMING love once around that area. Was several months ago... Maybe a fix?

My guess is that some app on your phone is not closing a connection while on 3G. If all apps disconnect, then a link with 4G can be established. My experience is that they can go from 4G to 3G, no problems, but not the other direction.

That was just the video I was watching at the time I took the snapshot to show the SignalCheck indicator. It's part of the the W3 Skyeyeweather video that Rich Apuzzo does.

I confirmed with the software author that's the case. Anything stronger than -40dbm is not metered, and instead just gives the "Bat signal" lol. However, this does present a good point. In my bedroom, where I spend 8+ hours a day, I'm getting bombarded by the site. Starting to wonder if there are any health risks. This level is much stronger than even my WiFi router, which is about -60dbm in my bedroom.

Inside my house, I am getting a weird indicator from SignalCheck Pro... Often the 1x 800 indicator reads between -60 to -40dbm. However, sometimes I see #?*! for the signal level. I am assuming it is because it's stronger than -40dbm. I live about .2miles from the tower, and the panel appears to be aimed in my general direction. I have attached a screenshot of the indicator, top left. Anyone tell me what this means, for sure?

Anyone notice that the Richmond, IN area is now showing 4G service on the official Sprint maps? http://coverage.sprint.com/IMPACT.jsp?ECID=vanity:maps They didn't expand the 4G area southward to Oxford, OH yet (although it's been 4G longer than Richmond). I suspect they may be waiting for Cincinnati to come online and do it all at once.

From the looks of it, you have a Republic Wireless Moto X. That may be the reason for the odd TX results. Still learning how to read/interpret them myself, but not a whole lot of time to do the research.

Saw some panels being pulled up onto the tower at I-275 and OH-741 near Tri-County Mall Saturday...currently, this site is listed as "no NV activity." Where do we report it to S4GRU.com?

Pottershop Rd or Miami University's tower? They both appear to have the same panels.

I noticed that the tower on Pottershop Road near US27 didn't appear to have the newer panels installed yet. Neither have they hung them on the site at Miami University.

Went to a Reds game in late April. 30000 fans. No problems with 3G. Went to a Reds game last Thursday, 25000 fans. Full bars but 3G didn't work at all. Nor did it work across the pond in Covington. Sure signs of progress...
