  1. Could be tomorrow could be a few months based on what I've read around here. It's been 2 months since I noticed 1x 800 came on in my market and I still get the same experience as you.
  2. Found a bit of b26 in downtown Brunswick. I kept switching between this and fringe 3g.
  3. Has anyone found a good case for the vibe? I bought one from amazon and it doesn't fit the phone long ways. All the cases on amazon that have reviews say the same thing.
  4. I ended picking up one of these, they're really cheap on amazon and i had alot of amazon monies... Anyway the screen is very impressive for how cheap the phone is it looks and feels nice. The battery seems to last almost as long as my torque and the spark access is very nice. In the short while i've had its had very good performance for $150, much better than my torque and on par with what i remember from my s3. My only complaint is that the sides and back feel cheap... however it still feels solid, but what can you expect for such a cheap phone.
  5. Welcome! All the info you've posted so far is awesome. I can't wait to see more pics, they are beautiful.
  6. That's a cool map. It shows the difference between 3g roaming and 1x roaming. I like it.
  7. I really like the way the s3 feels in my hand, and the way it looks.. The s4 and s5 aren't near as nice or beautiful in my opinion. I'm glad it got a triband version. [emoji3]
  8. This thread should help. http://www.s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/1195-Information-about-S4GRU-Sponsorship-levels-and-how-to-become-a-Sponsor
  9. +1 for the cajun fries. I love me some five guys. It's the type of fast food place that's OK to go to on Sunday after church. Delicious.
  10. From what I understand the fcc created the g block for the deal with Nextel.
  11. Dang more bad news about this phone. I was hoping it would be at least on par with the torque in quality. [emoji17] Do you think it would be worth getting as a backup phone?
  12. The situation with cell service is unfortunate in my hometown. Most people jumped to Verizon when the merger happened but those who couldn't afford to stayed with alltel. The other 3 at the time were just limited to interstate coverage. There hasn't been any major maintenence on the network that I know of so it's gotten consistently worse as everyone got smartphones. In 2010 when I got my HTC desire I could get at least 1 mbps in my house. Now I don't even get alltel signal inside and when you do get it its very very slow. Anyway it will be nice to have 2 choices for phone service with speeds better than 3g. The couple mailers my parents have recieved about the transition to att have specifically mentioned lte, from what I remember, being deployed to all the former alltel coverage area. So it really could be either.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens in my home town. Everyone there has alltel and are very excited for the switch to att so there will probably be a newspaper article . Alltel CDMA service which used to be great is terrible now.
  14. Wow that's lucky. I wish alltel was still like that in South ga around 2010 it was great like that. I had alltel up until last year in the Savanah area and it got terrible. Hardly get any signal anymore and Verizon 1x is better than alltel evdo most times.. It's really sad. Now when I go back to visit that's the only cell connection I get at my parents house and is terrible. I miss the good old days of alltel ... [emoji17] Anyway the point of this is that alltel in south Georgia is still the preferred roaming partner.
  15. That's very strange and unfortunate the note 2 I had for a few weeks had superior LTE signal strength to any of my others phones... It very well could be antenna contacts. [emoji6] About my s3 those Dbm I said were from the same tower in the same spot at my house. I meant to include that it was great signal then went bad. I watched it with signal check pro. I noticed its new behavior after I mapped a long sensorly trip plugged in. I guess it got to hot. Anyway just the 1x pcs was affected that's why I jumped on this thread sounded similar to my problem. However 1X 800 still works great.. [emoji3]
