  1. I have used #googlewallet at #mcdonald's, Wendy's, CVS, and Whataburger. It #failed at jack in the box and Walgreens

  2. Anyone know when Austin Tzx is getting #sprint #lte

  3. Just paid at McDonald's using Google wallet. Person was surprised.

  4. I had better luck when roaming was Sprint Only instead of Automatic. I'm heading North this coming Friday night - going Waco, etc. on the way to OK. Now that I know what my Evo LTE can do, I'll be able to compare what I had in Houston to what I get in Waco. Any word on if Austin, TX will be August or September yet?
  5. I went thru Houston on last night and I found EXCELLENT LTE Test Date: Aug 3, 2012 10:13:23 pm Connection Type: Lte Server: Houston, TX Download: 25891 kbps Upload: 12759 kbps Ping: 56 ms External IP: 66.87.121.140 Internal IP: 30.131.5.140 Latitude: 29.77653 Longitude: -95.38563 A detailed image for this result can be found here: http://www.speedtest.net/android/222967824.png Just thought I would post where it is. With those speeds, I really can't wait until I get LTE in Austin.
  6. If you do a speedtest, it will give the longitude and latitude of your current location.
  7. During lunch yesterday I did a speedtest and results were much better than I have been seeing. However, around 3:30 I did the speedtest again and it was back to what I have been seeing. I work in far north Austin around Yager and IH 35. Test Date: Jul 24, 2012 12:49:28 pm Connection Type: Ehrpd Server: Fort Worth, TX Download: 1559 kbps Upload: 583 kbps Ping: 217 ms IP addresses removed Latitude: 30.38534 Longitude: -97.67410 A detailed image for this result can be found here: http://www.speedtest...d/217466669.png
  8. I did a speedtest while at work during lunch. I must have timed it perfectly...Sprint must have been playing with the network, because when I tried later, the speeds were more in line with what I have been seeing. This test was done at Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, which is close to the same location as the Austin speedtest I posted earlier with a lot different results. Just thought I would share the good news! Hope that means August instead of September, Test Date: Jul 24, 2012 12:49:28 pm Connection Type: Ehrpd Server: Fort Worth, TX Download: 1559 kbps Upload: 583 kbps Ping: 217 ms IP ADDRESSES REMOVED Latitude: 30.38534 Longitude: -97.67410 A detailed image for this result can be found here: http://www.speedtest...d/217466669.png
  9. I read somewhere that Bryan College Station is around December. I don't think Sprint is putting up any more WiMAX. LTE is coming but you'll need an LTE phone such as Evo 4g LTE. Btw the battery life is a lot better on this Evo.
  10. My parents live in the subdivision close to the intersection of Kitty Hawk and Topperwein, on the UC side, across from Northeast Lakeview College. I'm surprised that Sprint skipped this college area on the initial LTE, but as we all know, it is not 100% complete yet. I'm hoping when Northeast Lakeview College gets coverage, that my parents house and sisters house also have coverage (she lives in Meadow Oaks).
  11. Do you know if Universal City also has 4G LTE? I visit the area on a regular basis.
  12. I got a flash flood warning this past week. I was at home and I received two flash flood watchs based on the S.A.M.E. codes I entered. I live near the end of Travis County and beginning of Williamson County, so I got both of them on the radio. My phone only got the one for Travis County, based on the cell tower I am connected. Also, FYI it still works if you are connected using WiFi. They test it the third Wednesday of evey month at 12 PM Eastern (1 Central). I have received two test. For more information about it you can vist http://www.ctia.org/...x.cfm/AID/12082 or http://www.fema.gov/...cord.do?id=5927
  13. Perhaps Sprint should NOT have sold ANY LTE devices UNTIL the area was 100%. Then I would still have my original Evo. Sprint could give those in the areas no increased speeds at all a price break. The good news is I got my Evo 4G LTE during a Best Buy promotion and only paid $50 for it. I went to Waco this past weekend (4G city). The part of Waco I was at must not be LTE yet, however the 3G was MUCH faster than it is in Austin proper. As a comparison, when the EVO 4G LTE is using Wifi at my apartment (Roadrunner is my ISP) the speedtest is below: Test Date: Jul 22, 2012 7:20:58 am Connection Type: Wifi Server: Fort Worth, TX Download: 28520 kbps Upload: 1240 kbps Ping: 42 ms IP addresses removed Latitude: 30.36651 Longitude: -97.70127 A detailed image for this result can be found here: http://www.speedtest...d/216247661.png
  14. Maybe we need a thread with "Real World" usage of the LTE. Sprint says a city has it, but THEY forget that most likely the WHOLE CITY does not have it. Maybe not even all of a zip code. It would be nice IF Sprint had longitude and latitude of where LTE is working, and where enhanced 3G is working.
