  1. Laie has LTE. I was getting downloads in the 20's. I did a speed test on sensorly but I don't know how to map. I wonder if Honolulu will see any pop ups? I hope hope hope ha
  2. I did an online chat with sprint earlier today and they told me LTE would be available in Honolulu in February 2015. They said this would also include spark. I don't know if this is good news or bad news (depending who you are talking to haha). And as Im sure you all know.... take everything with a grain of salt.
  3. Well it look like nobody wants to take a stab at my questions. ha Also, FYI the airport has LTE again. I just picked it up full signal as I was driving past this afternoon.
  4. Does anyone have any guestimates of LTE? I saw it on my phone in Kaneohe and then near the airport, as well as once near kaiser hospital. But as of lately I have seen zero LTE. Do you think we will have decent LTE coverage by December? Sooner? Later?
  5. 40 new Markets were announced today. Obviously Oahu wasn't one of them. I did wake up this morning however to a text saying that the network would be largely completed in my area in the following month, but it appears most people don't believe this is even true, so thats exciting and then not exciting. haha
  6. I guess what Im asking is doesn't sprint need to get permits to upgrade the towers, regardless of whether it is LTE or 3G? If they have had all these upgrades over the past 6 months, and have had access to the towers, why couldn't they have been installing LTE equipment? Or is my thinking just completely off?
  7. I just have some questions and am a little confused, so maybe someone can help and clear it up. Why on sprints website does it say that in the last 6 months there have been dozens of data speed improvements on their towers in Honolulu, yet people are saying only one permit has been issued. How could they have been doing these upgrades if only the first permit was issued last week? Also in a sprint Community forum: Thanks for your reply. Judging by what I see we will have LTE coverage on most of the islands by spring of 2014 (this is an estimate), we are already running beta testing LTE towers around the airport and Pearl Harbor. We understand the churn risk while completing the project, but we have to do it and we are not going to sacrifice quality for speed. Our prices beat the competition hands down and we will have broadband speed and crystal clear voice quality once we complete. Please hang in there for us, we will have this finished soon. Andrew B. Sprint Social Care So basically what Im asking is how has only been one permit been issued, when supposedly there are already some live towers with LTE? (has anyone ever picked these up signals? I never have and I've never seen them mapped) As well as all the other supposed upgrades according to the sprint map? If anyone could explain this that would be very appreciated.
  8. If you look on the sensorly mapper it shows that Hawaii is the last of only 5 states that does not have Sprint LTE. Has nobody here seen LTE light up on their phones?, or are people just not mapping it? Frustrated that we are alongside North Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, and Alaska.
