  1. Is that a dual sided razor? I have heard that those intimidate the ladies and make it less likely for them to "borrow" your razor to shave their legs and parts.

You bet. It also makes for a baby soft face. Although, the wife has a 74 Lady Gillette dual edge razor, so I don't know how much it intimidates women.

  2. My wife wishes my sink was that orderly in our bathroom. ;)

That is my one square foot of space on the vanity... I have another square foot in the linen closet for the rest of my toiletries. LOL

  3. Okay, I just was not sure if, kinda like disposable razors, you could reuse the tauntauns a few times. You know, maybe reheat them in the microwave.

Tried that, but it ends up like a hot pocket, where you have some areas that are boiling lava hot, and others that are frozen. Plus, we live in a disposable society, so of course they are single use.

Funny you should bring up disposable razors, I shave with a 1955 Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed.

There is a reason that the NV Sites Complete map is in the Sponsor-level Interactive S4GRU Maps forum: The content is for Sponsors. Republishing such detail in this public forum violates S4GRU rules. The Sponsor forums provide a venue to discuss such details.

You realize that you quoted the offending info? LOL

  5. Ah, see i though it would be better because she is so close to the downtown area. She has to make a 40 minute drive to get down there and she cant even get the damn wimax. I don't really care all that much because we are past the town limits, guess i shouldn't assume that just because its in a more central location that it would be better O_o

Some buildings are great at shielding RF...

  6. Sweet! The 3g is not too bad where i live in the north west part of town. Pandora is usually ok but as of late i have seen a drop in consistency of the speed. There is one tower that said it had a data upgrade and the other 2 just say voice upgrades.. My GF that works downtown by williams and broadway gets crap signal to the point where she has to step outside the building to use the phone, now that is unacceptable..

Some buildings just don't get good service from one cell provider. That is a fact of life. At my work, there is 1 cell provider that actually provides service in the building, the rest have to walk outside or hover next to a window to use their phone. Unless they add another cell site, it might not get any better. NV may tip the needle from unusable inside to barely usable inside, 800mhz voice might help also, but there will always be indoor dead spots on every carrier.

  7. ummmm NO!

Its actually strong bud and my town is small 8 blocks may be equal to 4 in your city I really dunno, but I can walk to the tower in about 10 mins

    • Better than -96dBm is a great signal
    • Between -97dBm and -107dBm is good
    • Between -108dBm and -114dBm is fair
    • Worse than -115dBm is poor

Yeah, I was thinking RSSI numbers...

If you want answers on why the speeds are slow off that tower, you'll need to call shentel or sprint for troubleshooting.

  8.

Well that's not entirely true since they are somewhat correlated. If LTE is deployed on a higher frequency it can affect your signal strength more than LTE deployed on a lower frequency if you go indoors or move further away from the tower. But you are definitely correct that in perfect conditions the frequency does not affect LTE speeds.

That's why I didn't say frequency has "nothing" to do with speeds. Weak signal yields slow speeds on any frequency, and in this discussion, it is not relevant to insert in the discussion.

  9. Now as far as my distance from the tower as said I am about 8 blocks away.I used the link provided to obtain my actual lte signal strength and ....well see for yourself!

Screenshot_2012-12-19-21-56-01-11.pngwith a excellent signal this is the average daily (outdoor) speeds Screenshot_2012-12-19-21-44-19-11.png

Didnt someone here reply if I could show strong signal and slow speed then we would talk? Lets talk !! :twitch:

That is a weak signal. The site 8 blocks from you is probably not broadcasting LTE and you are picking it up from another site. If you are 8 blocks away, I would expect -80dbm or better rsrp
