  1. Does anyone know if the S9/S9+ will include the new GPS chip from Broadcom? I'm referring to the BCM47755 that was announced back in September. It's supposed to be accurate to 30 centimeters and use 50% less battery. I feel like Samsung would have made a bigger deal about it if it was included... But I'm still curious to see if anyone knows. Definitely looking forward to it though! https://spectrum.ieee.org/tech-talk/semiconductors/design/superaccurate-gps-chips-coming-to-smartphones-in-2018
  2. I just connected to two band 26 sites for the first time tonight here in Beaverton/Tigard on my way home from Portland. One was right next to Washington Square and the other was near Progress Ridge. I'm not sure about Vancouver, but it looks like they've got the ball rolling over here.
  3. My Note 4 has already been shipped to my city and is being delivered tomorrow. So stoked!!!
  4. So here's something I've been wondering about. Samsung says it will accept trade-ins from "participating retailers". Do they list who those retailers are? My phone is worthless in the Sprint buyback system so I was thinking of using Gazelle where I could get about $65. Would Samsung accept a trade in with Gazelle?
  5. So it wouldn't work as a down payment on Easy Pay? That's a bit of a bummer, but I'm not surprised.
  6. Anybody know why Best Buy is listing slightly different specs for the AT&T GN4 vs. the Sprint variant (processor clock speed, Bluetooth, front camera MP count)? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/samsung-galaxy-note-4-128435
  7. Samsung released another infographic for the Note 4 today. What's confusing is that now they list that the micro sd slot accepts up to 128 gb cards when the previous infographic said 64 gb. They also say it has cat 6 compatibility, but we still don't know if that includes Sprint. Infographic: http://global.samsungtomorrow.com/?p=42096
  8. I thought that during the announcement they said it would have cat 6 LTE. I guess they meant for only certain markets...
  9. Although this is disappointing news, I don't think it's enough to keep me from getting one. It still looks awesome plus I want tri band!
  10. Officially, the Note 2 and 3 supported up to 64gb. For some reason, Samsung still hasn't seen the need to jump to 128gb support with the Note 4. Probably because the actual amount of people who actually use that high of a capacity in their phones is so small. It's the same reason it chose to switch from USB 3.0 on the S5 back to USB 2.0 with the new Note 4. Yes, there are some people who could actually get a lot of use out of it, but Samsung probably couldn't justify the extra cost the feature would have added when only a tiny percentage of users would take advantage of it. There's always a tradeoff. However, it may "unofficially" work with 128gb micro SDs if the previous models did. http://stech2.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Infographic-Galaxy-Note-Series-at-a-glance.png
  11. The battery is indeed replaceable. I saw a hands on video of someone taking the back cover off to show the battery. I'll see if I can find the vid. *Edit* Here is the video I was referring to:
  12. In the company's latest Note 4 teaser, Samsung confirmed that it will be live streaming the event at www.youtube.com/samsungmobile at 15:00 CEST. Source (at end of video): http://youtu.be/eJ3YzMospW8
  13. I'm pretty much in the same boat. September 3rd can't come soon enough! I just hope the Note 4 has a monster battery. My One M7 hasn't been very good to me as of late with its constant battery drainage. It would be nice to not have to carry around a wall charger or portable battery bank wherever I go. For me it's between the G3 and the Note 4. I've never had an iPhone and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon.
