  1. The contact fix made a noticeable difference with my GPS.
  2. Since the update my connection is working much better. Prior to the update, my phone would try to connect to a weaker LTE signal. When I switched to CDMA only, I was still having problems maintaining a strong signal (which I had for the first week of owning my phone). Or I couldn't get any data connection at all. Now it appears to be working as intended.
  3. I had the same problem several days ago. I couldn't access the root menu to perform a hard reset. I tried about 8 times and it finally responded. My phone was acting extremely odd before the reset. It was overheating and draining my battery. Couldn't even access the stock email program. I couldn't perform a wipe from the phone which is why I manually did a hard reset. Since the reset, everything was working fine and batter and heat levels were normal. Then I noticed that I couldn't receive any data connection. Regardless if I change the different mobile data options. I had the phone check for system update and the data would turn on? The data just came back on after another soft reset but I am starting to wonder if I got a dud.
  4. I had the Note 3 for short while and thought the phone was great. But the battery life wasn't as good as advertised(for me). So I decided to go with the G2 which I have been very happy with. But recently, my signal has been sporadic. I just found this post and tested myself. And sure enough my signal came back after turning my wifi on and off. Here is the quote - I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on it. "Hi, I think I discovered what seems to be a critical software bug regarding the signal of the LG G2 in weak signal environments. In my house, the signal is generally very weak. However, it is usable. But when the phone shows 0 bars of signal due to it being placed in a very weak signal spot or hands covering the antenna, the signal strength never comes back and my number cannot be called until I take one of the following actions: If I turn the Wi-Fi off, the signal comes back instantly. If I make a call, the signal comes back instantly and I can make the call. And if I turn the airplane mode on and then off, the signal reappears. This has never happened on my Nexus 4, and it only happens inside my house where I have a weak signal. Any ideas regarding the resolution of this ? Can I boost the signal sensitivity from somewhere in a secret menu ? I hope that this issue will be solved in an upcoming update, but I can't be sure. PS: I am running the International version of the G2, on Vodafone Romania."
  5. I haven't tried that. But I will when I am in an LTE area again.
  6. I guess that is my point. It shouldn't matter and it has been acting strangely. Still connecting to LTE network when I am on CDMA only? I am only playing with the setting because I am trying to see if its the reason why I am suddenly losing my connection strength?
  7. When I first bought my G2, I assumed it would make sense to change the cell radio to LTE/CDMA. I was not picking up any LTE signals? Then I changed it LTE only and still no signal. Finally I changed it back to its default Global setting and then I was able to get LTE just fine. After 3 weeks of using the G2, I noticed the last couple of days I have been struggling to find a signal. What is more odd, is that I changed it to CDMA only and found and LTE network. I have since switched it back, but a little frustrated that I cannot maintain a strong signal anymore.
