    I know, just alot of people that are on Sprint in Chicago with the older phones don't know how well 800 is working Thats why I compared them

    So when I was back home in Marengo two weeks ago. My phone was always connected to the 800mhz channel. Stock 25013 prl. At my house I have a airave, not once did it connect to it. My photon 4g did but my optimus g just stayed on 800 and everywhere throughout the house I had no issues. Even in my basement where typically its a deadzone without an airave 800 was no problem. I was impressed this last time with service only negative is lte still isnt turned on. But when I looked on the maps it says its suppose to be on. Keep waiting I think the network is gonna rock in no time.

    Welcome, you'll learn to be a tower spotter in no time. Espiecally NV in Phx is starting to heat up.

    Ya, Theres was a big articles a good 5 months back. Search the wall and you should find it. Chicago is a legacy Motorola network and While NV deployment it was found that Samsung <> Legacy Motorola network while on the same channel will more or less drop the call.

    Robert, I used this method in order to get the update. Taken from Sprint Community. 1. Go to Settings -> Apps -> All 2. Find Google Services Framework. 3. Tap on Force Stop. 4. Select Clear Data. 5. Head back to the Sprint Optimus G System Updates, Do a PRL update then Profile Update then Firmware Update. Finally go to LG software update and you should see it there waiting for you to download. Do it and let me know.

    This is what i used when I'm traveling on a plane. Im not sure how well it works for directions. I just used it to determine where What state I'm over while flying.     I got 60792 on my admiral now. I believe I had that prl a few months back.

    And sometimes Robert gets overzealous when torturing the poor victim he pulls the trigger too soon before he's able to ring out all the information from them. That's what's causing these delays. Blame Robert and his happy-go-lucky trigger finger.

    *spins the wheel* Wee its my turn. Top is clear. Second, Single panel per sector is sprint. Third is a different company. A company rarely will ever take more then one spot on a tower. Spots costs money.

    Lol, wow this has truly been taken out of context. He was giving an example on what he can and can't do. He even said right after that they weren't contemplating it and not for media to take it out of context. Wow, disappointed in cnet or whoever started this.

    Hey look another Marengoite, Cool. With visual Inspection both towers(Harmony Rd tower& one by Marengo Ridge) do have the necessary hardware upgrades. Harmony Tower does have the upgraded backhaul installed already. But the one by Marengo Ridge so far doesn't or rather I haven't experienced it. As far as Lte I think the Harmony tower doesn't have much too much of a wait. Maybe a few weeks at most.

    Went to the northside(Edgewater,Uptown, Albany Park)of the city yesterday. I did see many of Sprints towers NV'd, RRU Equipment was on. But as far as speeds I saw no upgrade. Guess were waiting on backhaul?

    Most of them I meet are friendly guys and they love to talk. Ha If you can go shoot the shi* with them and see what they have to say. Tell them your interested in sprint network vision and you can even bring up this site.

    One odd thing. Just got back to Phx today. Not sure if this qualifies for anything but been getting mobile regestration errors. The same as when i'd be in a NV'd area. I thought its my phone but it happened to two deferent units on two different accounts. Figure that one out?

    Union IL tower just got updated. checked it a few days ago and it wasn't NV'd. But,Yesterday I saw abnormally high signal strength with blistering speeds. Drove to site and saw the RRU's installed. Wish I would have caught them in the act installing them. So, that makes all towers by me NV'd. Which many of them aren't marked complete on the maps. Now if they can optimize them quickly. I'll be a happy camper.

    To be honest I absolutely hate talking to people with VZW. They used the shi**est codec just sounds all muffled cant make out what they say. Have to ask people to repeat themselves. Its almost to the point of unbearable. I have no problems with any other carrier just Vzw. Just my experience!
