  1. I picked it up driving on 79 this weekend. Then got it again when home in Blacksburg. Finally! One of thing in doing is Sprint Default not being able to update. Don't know what's up with that.
  2. RT @sadserver: On modern computers the "turbo button" can be triggered from the command line: # pkill -9 java

  3. It seemed like it at the time. I had stopped to grab lunch on the way to richmond and noticed it.
  4. I can verify there's LTE in Staunton! Here's a comparison: LTE in Richmond Normal nTelos
  5. At least you were in Sprint-land once you passed Atkins/Marion. Heck, even podunk Damascus, VA has LTE. Gosh, I hate nTelos for not rolling out LTE yet... Why didn't Sprint just build out again?
  6. Thanks for that! That little bit of info got me this link to an SEC filing... Interesting stuff! http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1328571/000144530514002965/ntls-6302014xex101.htm That opens quite alot of light on this situation from my cursory glace! Looks to be the 2022 agreement text. There's also a list of all the stations and markets.
  7. I do know that there first Sprint tower in Atkins just recently lit up 3G. It used to be 1x, albiet fast 1x since I'd wager very few people were in the cell on it, but still 1x. So glad that's 3G now!
  8. Next time I'm heading to Richmond, I'll stop in Lexington and see if I get anything. Here's hoping they'll get to the NRV sometime in the next century!
  9. It was not this bad even during the school year... The last several weeks the network in Blacksburg has been... Not really spotty, just slow. Ever since I got here three years ago, I was getting better speeds than in Richmond. The upgrades down there improved things in the river city greatly. Come on nTelos... Fix yoself!
  10. RT @_MelRodriguez_: This is why I signed, Mr. Damon Mathews http://t.co/gFzUDy6k3A

  11. Hopefully this along with Lordsutch's post above will show this as on the up and up.
  12. I'm in Blacksburg and just got this text. Good news? SprintFreeMsg: Faster data speeds and stronger voice service will be yours soon. See how this will help you at http://sprint.us/networkupdate5
  13. Is there a way to listen into the earnings call live? Should have RTFL! What better way to spend the last day of classes!
  14. A news article from a few weeks ago... but provides some insight... Still doesn't seem to have sped anything up.
  15. I liked a @YouTube video from @thedoctorofwho http://t.co/3pkKiTdkdj Bohemian Rhapsody - Karen And The Babes (With Music)

  16. I expanded the Sensorly map a bit around VCC mall, Brook and Parham, and Broad and 295 this week. :-) Unfortunately, I couldn't dottle in the area, but i was surprised how wide it was already. Hopefully, by Christmas it will be near the airport!
  17. Hopefully, this is a good sign... http://m.about.dish.com/press-release/products-and-services/dish-pursues-co-development-fixed-mobile-broadband-offering http://www.telecompetitor.com/lte-will-underlie-dishntelos-fixed-wireless-broadband-service/
  18. There is one just south of Harrisonburg, VA between Shentel and nTelos along 81... it is very distinctly delineated on LTE coverage maps.
  19. Thats good news! The Richmond market has been somewhat stagnant since the WiMAX rollout, at least in my experience. This bodes well for the are. Next time I'm home, I may take a trek down to Williamsburg to try out LTE down there, which I guess is in the Hampton Roads market; they've built that out pretty well in such a short time if Sensorly is to believed.
  20. FYI: I was just driving past Salem, VA on the way to Roanoke when my FreedomPop stick connected, so I'd say that it seems to be working.
