  1. Wasn't a serious suggestion, I just sympathize with Sprint.
  2. Sprint should "accidentally" shut off wimax anyway and the next day bring it back, but at minimum power. When they complain about spotty service, troll the trolls and say wimax doesn't penetrate paper bags or something, and that they should have moved to LTE a couple years ago.
  3. This is stupid, they already had so much time to transition to LTE. There is not a single reason Sprint should be forced to keep wimax up. I can't believe this.
  4. Since all Sprint devices are going to sport B4/B12, and the equipment is already deployed, might as well keep it up and shoot for being the dominant player in the area. Either way, I don't see this merger happening any time soon with either T-Mobile or Sprint no matter how much we wish it.
  5. Added a Clearwire Map for archival purposes. I wish I had more time to stitch together a higher resolution map, but at least it's something.
  6. Ringplus is doing the 1K min/text/data one last time, today and tomorrow 2-5 Central time. If you have an old WiMax device laying around, here's a chance to get it activated and watch the Wimax shutdown. My Nexus S 4G is getting another go.
  7. I agree completely, I'm just saying that's probably the reason why Samsung removed them.
  8. They probably did think too many options was complicated. Samsung has gone mainstream, trying to make sure their phones can be used by the least common denominator.
  9. The 700 requirements have nothing to do with device throughput, rather it states any device capable of being on the network must be allowed. If company XYZ makes a phone and gets Band 13 FCC approval, Verizon must be willing to activate it. Its not about what speed Verizon must provide, or what price Verizon should charge.
  10. I don't think the G2 will support a CSIM, but you could always try.
  11. I'm concerned this is just another step towards a radically different Internet. I prefer everything to be neutral.
  12. Also trying to revive a stale topic. Now that some Sprint phones are using csims, has anyone successfully done a sim swap between two Sprint phones? I'm wondering if it's working like Verizon now, with CDMA and LTE being authenticated.
  13. I have to pay for more high speed data if I want to stream my music from a non authorized T-mobile source, such as from a computer at home. Giving unrestricted access to certain things on the Internet violates the spirit of Net Neutrality, in my opinion.
  14. T-Mobile LTE coverage right now: When it starts showing up on crowd sourced maps, then I'll believe.
  15. Sprint doesn't require a tethering allowance to use MHL on our devices.
  16. I think that's just the battery starting to crap out.
  17. If Sprint doesn't participate in the 600MHz auction, that means T-Mobile gets to walk away with 30MHz on the cheap. Sprint needs to bid to also keep it out of T-Mobile's hands.
  18. http://arstechnica.com/business/2015/09/att-now-throttles-unlimited-data-after-22gb-instead-of-5gb/ I guess they wanted to match T-Mobile?
  19. If they both work the same for you, choose whichever is cheapest. If they're about the same cost, I'd lean towards not supporting the Death Star.
