There are issues with my phone, but when there wasn't, it all worked great. However, I should have waited for a more powerful phone instead of buying the low end. I'm going to try to get a Galaxy Victory, or a Galaxy S III, and if I could afford it, maybe an iPhone 5.
iphone 5 is great. better than any android phone i had. but its lacking the 1 feature i need, svdo.

No, I've tested it both ways. Weak signal areas are the biggest battery drain regardless of wireless technology, but i tested my phone both ways and can say that having LTE on doesn't affect my battery life.

hi, just curious how you like the viper 3g and lte connectivity , and the phone in a whole. thanks
-
thanks for the info, i wonder if there is any machines that support svdo that are coming to sprint soon

It does not support simultaneous voice and data in 3G, but does while connected to LTE.
SVDO = Simultaneous voice and 3G data
SVLTE = Simultaneous voice and LTE data

thanks for that, that takes it off my to get list. any other phone on sprint that support SVDO besides the note 2 and gs3? thanks
-
It's the same device. The name was unknown at the time if the article when it cleared the FCC OET. However, that was the name it was believed to be back then.
It does not support SVDO, but does SVLTE. Just like the new Note 2.

thanks for the reply, but since i have no clue about SVDO or SVLTE , can you explain if it does voice/data at the same time on 3g and lte? thanks

hello all, can any one shed some light if the optimus g can do voice/data on 3g and LTE simultaneously?
thanks
-
now that the optimus g came into play, the decision between the sg3 and the lg is even harder. it will probably come down to voice/data radio for me, so any input will help
-
go to their desktop site on bestbuy upper right hand corner.
got it, thanks
-
i dont know but right now the GS3 at best buy comes with $100 gift card.
where do you see such a gift card?
-
in your opinions, which would have better radio for calls and lte, gs3 or the optimus g? also, will the optimus g support simulatous voice/data on lte and 3g?
-
GS3 all the way.
would you still say it even in comparison to the new lg optimus g that is coming in a week?

Yes, I was unclear about the reference to the thread title also. But I think what he was suggesting is that Wimax doesn't pertain to the discussion.

hello robert, on your maps for members you have "LA Metro Sites Complete = 13%; Anticipated LTE Launch = October 2012
...Original Scheduled Completion = January 2013; Current Production Rate Completion = November 2012"
up until today the completion date was 2014 and now its November 2012. is that right or just mistype?

I am a verizon customer contract is up this month.. thinking about jumping ship to sprint how is there service? I'm not really a voice Guy but i do use alot of data.... any feedback on service in LA metro would be great.
im traveling in the L.A county alot and data is VERY slow on my iphone 4S. i am thinking of moving to verizon because it looks like the LTE launch with sprint will take some time to get to the level that verizon has now. will wait for the iphone 5 and make a decision than
