  1. They have WiFi calling now, and BYOD. I ported two SERO lines to xfinity and haven’t looked back. https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/support/article/360000126366/what-is-wifi-calling https://www.xfinity.com/mobile/byod/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. They can. They won't. They don't want dropped calls to be an issue and give people the impression that their network sucks again. Sprint is just starting to turn their reputation around and they'd rather have a solid 1x voice network without VoLTE and wait for 1x SRLCC. It helps that they didn't need to wait for VoLTE to deploy HD voice. Verizon doesn't care about dropped calls, and since they skipped 1xAdvance, they need VoLTE for HD Voice. In any case, their network reputation is self perpetuating at this point. A million customers could complain about dropped calls to everyone they know and people still wouldn't leave Verizon because they know verizon has the "most reliable network" -- there's no other reason to pay their absurd prices.
  3. For what it's worth, I was getting Band 41 LTE in Alec late last year (Around the mall and US-165 between the two I-49 exits), but unfortunately the last couple of months I've only seen Band 25/26. Thought it might be my phone but I've had no problems getting Band 41 in Dallas and Houston.
  4. So what's going on with SouthernLINC? If I recall correctly they have ~7mhz of SMR spectrum. Are they deploying 3x3 Band 26 LTE only and keeping some iden channels for voice? Are they deploying SMR 1x for voice? I can't imagine they have enough bandwidth for a UMTS channel and LTE. Or have they come to an agreement with Sprint on spectrum and/or roaming?
  5. Jeez just trying to help, thought I'd share my experience - didn't realize the good stuff is locked behind a pay wall. If you're supposed to donate to see anything why have a free section at all?
  6. LTE is live in Alexandria/Pineville. Don't know how long it's been up and running - I just upgraded from an iPhone 4S to a 5S and boom, LTE. Outdoor coverage is good from about I-49 out to the airport, including the mall and downtown Alec. Solid LTE signal, my speed test showed 6-8 Mbps down and 1-3 Mbps up. Very impressive. Surprised they deployed here before Lafayette though.
