  1. Still no LTE at Raymond James Stadium for the Bucs game. Anyone get LTE at Tropicana Field Rays games?

I'm downtown St. Pete quite a bit.  LTE is seriously lacking in that area.  In fact east of 275 and south of Gandy is a big gaping hole of non LTE coverage.  Looking at the Map there are some holes to fill in there

  2. Anyone know what's going on in downtown Tampa? I work in downtown, and while I always have great signal strength, data speeds are never that great. I've yet to see speed improvements anywhere in Tampa yet. Kind of curious where their downtown Tampa antennas are too.

I was told (on the Sprint community forums) that upgrades are slated for "within the next 3 months", but I don't know how accurate that is.

I can't answer the question but I'm pretty sure that up towards UT there is LTE but weak. I think Tampa will be a coverage issue initially

  3. Hmm thats odd.  Wonder why this would be.

I asked about it here but didn't get an answer..So the normal config here that i have seen is 2 existing panels and the new panel added to the sector for a total of 3.  What I have seen on two sites is that only the LTE panel was left behind

  4. If this is a pain someone tell me.  It would be nice if while doing the weekly site acceptance reports if somehow this sites were marked on the map in a way that would draw attention to them.   In my market for example if we get 1 or 2 accepted sites its difficult to discern where the one went live.  Is this possible without a lot of effort?  I'm sure other people would like it.  Then once Robert does the big weekly map update, those accepted during the week would be unhighlighted

  5. Doesn't even seem that long. Thanks for the update. That damn near completes the North to South route now with the tower at Ulmerton and 66th. Now that I think about it that tower is a real linchpin in coverage. It completes Pinellas Park and likely gives continuous coverage into Seminole

  6. I think the tower in Pinellas on the corner of 66th and Ulmerton is live.  Typically if I get LTE there it is -112 or higher (lower?) and from a tower further West, today at that corner it was -85 dbm and as I moved away it went to -75 dbm.  This tower has had panels on it since November of last year at least. This should tower also should complete a continuous LTE connection from East to West from damn near the beach to 275

  7. A friend of mine sent me the list and I can tell you it's the real deal.  None of the phones on the list are like to like when compared to the EVO LTE.  The S3 may be slightly better than the EVO but the listed phones are WELL below specs.

The worst part is I trusted Sprint that this phone would perform like it should when LTE came to my area.  LTE has made it worse.  Now the phone is doing hard handoffs from 3G to 4G disconnecting my data service.  Most of the time it wants to stay in 1X.  I have written HTC, spoken to Sprint, and emailed them last night.  I'm really frustrated that I have to hang on to this phone until next May. I will wait until I get a email response and see what they say.  I just wish I had found this site before I bought the phone.  Folks here were ringing the alarms before it was released.

  8. Bump..sorry still curious about this

Question. The tower near my job just had panels installed. Anyone have any idea why they would remove the 2 existing panels that were on the site. The network engineer was there and told me he had no idea but said the old cabinets were still live.
On another note he did tell me he was there to run the scripts to turn on LTE but whether it was live was up to Sprint

  10. Tampa is now showing in Sprint.com. Not sure how I feel about that, given how spotty things still are. It's just inviting complaints from the Sprint haters.

Does downtown Tampa have coverage at all?
