    LG Optimus G

Thanks Dave. I think I discovered it is minutes. When I set the timer to 120 it showed the BSR timer as 7200. Changed it to 2 and the BSR went back to 120. Anyhow, are there any tricks to make the LGOG find LTE? My wife has a GS3 and gets spotty LTE here now but no matter what I do I can't get a LTE signal. With my s4 mini I can set it to LTE only and get a signal many place around town but this LG has yet to connect to LTE ever. Any ideas?

Can someone verify the value of the LTE scan timer for the LGOG. Does the number specify seconds or minutes?

Anyone figured out how to force LTE only on the LGOG since the update yet?
  4. So I decided to return the LG G2 (which by the way was an excellent device) and get something a little more portable. I really like the GS4 Mini. Seems to be all the phone you need for the casual user who likes to tweak a little. That being said I did get the spark update as soon as I activated it. Now I was wondering if anyone has found where to set the LTE scan timer? Also anyone here rooted this little monster yet?
  5. I see some mention of the scan timer for the G2 but I cannot locate it in the ##data# menu. I can find it in the advanced tab in the LTE menu on my Optimus G but not on the G2. Any ideas?
  6. Thanks for the reply. I agree it is apples to oranges as far as the phones go but as far as user experience it very disappointing. I have been waiting patiently for well over a year and when LTE finally shows up here I still can't use it on the handset of my chosing. I assume there is a benefit to the CSFB thing, I am just getting tired of waiting. I guess the older I get the less I want to monkey with things and really just want a phone to work.
  7. So I picked up the G2 in white the other day and have been kinda disappointed that the wife's iPhone 5c has LTE and my new top-o-the-line LG is stuck in 3g. I have changed the priority to 26 41 25 but still nothing. I assume it's due to the CSFB but is there any work around? In my market (Winston-Salem, NC) we probably won't see the CSFB any time soon knowing my luck so is there any workaround or should I return this G2 and opt for an iPhone until the network is up and running?
  8. Thanks for the reply. I don't think I have ever seen a WiMax S3. All the specs I can find all say 1900mhz LTE for the S3. I will definitely open the degug menu tonight just to make sure. I can't rule out bad hardware with this LG Optimus G. I have had it for 8 months and 3 of those it was at LG being repaired.
  9. Good Morning. Glad to find this site. Very good info. I have a question. My wife has a GS3 and has been getting spotty 4g all over W-S. For instance last night we were at Polo and University (6m down/ 1m up) Then traveled over to Reynolda and then all the way up Reynolda to our house in Pfafftown. She had 4g the whole time until we got to the other side of Shattalon. My question is why didn't my LG Optimus G show 4g? I have never been able to get solid 4g service with this device. I travelled to Charlotte a few weeks ago and only saw 4g for a few minutes then it was 3g the rest of the day. But my wife's GS3 had 4g the entire time. I would assume this is a device issue but I have sent this LG back for repair 3 times to LG for a different reason and would hope this was tested. Any ideas???? Is there any way to test the 4g radio? Thanks for the time!
