Getting great speeds on B41 a couple of blocks from Times Square. Near 60Mbps.

Disabling wifi scanning has helped my battery life tremendously.
WiFi in general seems to be a power sucker on the N5. Probably because all the tri-band phones are still connected to LTE when they are on WiFi.

Does anyone know about how much longer it will take them to finish the band 26 work?
Kind of early in the B26 rollout to really guesstimate. I don't think anyone has really observed enough to be able to throw out an accurate idea.

It would be a shame to abandon the Nexus line just after it has become so popular. The Nexus devices are a godsend at their price point.

When using Google now with the nexus 5 does anyone see a significant decrease in battery life?
I've never had it turned off, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. It is essentially an always-on service after all.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do you do LTE only mode? Are we talking Preferred Network types or something else?
In the dialer do *#*#INFO#*#* > Phone Info > Scroll down and change "Set Preferred Network Type" to LTE Only.

Ericsson has been busy forgetting to add eCSFB to sites all over again with band 26. There are a bunch of sites now that already had eCSFB active on band 25 which are now screwed up after their band 26 additions.
This has been reported in the Tampa thread as well.

I know how to put it in LTE (recommend) but I'm not familiar with LTE only. I don't see that option or is it enabled via other means. It's currently in LTE (recommended) and has been all along.

I still can't update hangouts through the play store! I'll be able to use a computer for more than 30 seconds tomorrow so maybe I'll sideload it.
After a day of waiting I just sideloaded it. The perks of Android!

Used to have BrightHouse and had some really awesome speeds! Close to 300mbps. Now I have Comcast and have 25mbps down and pay a premium for it -_-

Don't know if anyone noticed a substantial increase in stability with full blown Gvoice integration enabled. Calls are coming in swiftly and outgoing calls have 0 delay.
Lots will be ecstatic to hear that.

Just so I don't get jumped on... Again, I do not know what was originally written, but I am just hesitant to dismiss possibilities quickly.

The guys in the Colorado market kept getting very confused why they were connected to GSM haha.
Well that's not good lol. We'll get it fixed to alleviate any confusion.

There he is. Ok, so that explains it. I've seen it crop up in a number of places, wasn't sure what to tell people.
Thanks Dkoellerwx. I responded directly to drhenning, but I haven't seen others asking about this before now. It's on the to do list, but is a low priority at the moment.

I had to return the S5 because of the B25 radio and go back to my S4. I couldn't hold a LTE connection where I had it before with my S4. That could be the reason, other people on this site and other forums are having rf problems.

Was it an RF problem or was the eCSFB just kicking you off?

Your device has set scan intervals for when it looks for LTE.
If your scan happened just before you entered LTE coverage, it can take as much as 10-20 minutes for it to recognize the LTE signal. If the scan happens just as you enter LTE coverage, it will seem like it picked it up right away. Just coincidence.
LTE discovery seems to have a bug when you have an LTE connection, showing GSM rather than no connection, like it should. I would try out Signal Check Pro if you get the chance. Both programs are written by members of this site, so if you poke around you should be able to find support for both apps.
GSM is just listed as the default voice connection when the phone is not reporting either a CDMA or GSM voice connection on tri-band phones. We will remove the inactive voice connection box in a future update.

Transparency.. That's all we wanted (and knew we weren't getting) when they told us for 3-4 days it was rolling out.

I really cannot wait till the update releases. This WiFi lockup is really annoying

Had that issue this morning. It's pretty annoying but doesn't seem to happen that often.

If I'm 'updating' from a release S4 to a G2, will I notice a difference in better service? I'm working at the FDOT off Mckinley. Where I work is in a Spark area now too, but it's just on the edge where the service ends. I was going to upgrade to an S5, but I really didn't want to do that since the S5 didn't interest me that much. I rather wait for the Note 3 or iPhone 6. If I do get better service with this G2, then I'll have to upgrade my wife to something better quick.
Since B26 seems to be progressing well in Tampa, besides the eCSFB issues, then yes you will notice service between the two phones once those issues are resolved.

My battery life has been significantly better since the camera update. Guess that bug affected me more than I realized.

Anyone out there lol? I put my phone into LTE only mode and got lots of Band 26 from Citrus Park Mall to Busch Gardens along Gunn/Busch Blvd. Awesome speeds too. But as soon as I enabled LTE +Cdma so I could receive calls, the csfb issue occurred and I dropped to 3G. If I disable band 26 I have no problems. Here are some screen shots.

That's awesome. I'll have to put my Nexus in LTE only mode and do a little searching around Florida.

I like that they fixed camera problem. But please fix other bugs.
16:9 aspect ratio to be supported soon as well! They are making some good improvements that make me miss the EVO LTE's camera less and less. The new icon is a little much though lol.

I'm not panicking. Just funny how (I don't know what your talking about) Google and (it's coming, I promise) Sprint are handling this. Looks like Sprint is still claiming it's currently being rolled out. Hard to imagine no one has reported this yet through all the Android communities, twitter, etc. See below from sprint community page yesterday:

Hello coasterphotos, Updates are sent out in waves to avoid the system overloading. Watch out for your update and keep us posted. Thanks, Sharon Sprint Social Care
If it isn't then I wouldn't be surprised if Google hasn't updated them. I've worked with large companies a lot and it's surprising how little they actually communicate when they are "collaborating".

Naturally lol. Haven't seen any B26 but I'm on the lookout. Seem to have intermittent 1x800 in some areas.
