  1. I won't be satisfied until home tree has its RRUs! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  2. Not likely. There is other equipment that must be added for the 2500-2600 that's not the same as WiMax equipment. I imagine you'll see 800/1900LTE long before 2600. Just my opinion though. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  3. They must be waiting on two towers to adequately serve the Camp Randall area. #1, Hilldale tower, no equipment yet and #2, West Washington Ave. The one on Old University which is very close to the Camp is ready, as is the one on State St. Man there aren't many Madison towers left without equipment on them. 4. Another Fitchburg, WI tower off County Hwy M....just one more Fitchburg tower left.....mine. Stoughton, WI tower in the Wally World parking lot. Poised and at the ready.
  5. Alright. I think I've clarified things today with better pictures. Here's that Top Rack - not Sprint, look at antenna wire arrangement Here's the whole tower Here's where I believe NV will appear when they're ready (bottom rack), right there in the middle of the skinny ones. As I got real close to the tower, it's clear this is what's going on based on other towers I've stalked. For the whole tower, top to bottom, I'd guess AT&T, VZW or USCC, T Mobile, then Sprint? Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  6. Is that second rack VZW? Third down is ATT? (pic from when they were working. Their truck had a Samsung rru antenna setup sitting in the back. That's why I thought it was Sprint for sure.) There's a 4th rack that has like 2 pencil thin antennas on it that don't match anything I've seen. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  7. Huh. How about that. There are 5 of them actually, it looks like. I'll go over to that thread to do some learnin. Edit: are there other markets like this? Is this really an ATT rack? Strange. I'll get some closer pics tomorrow when the light is better and I have my DSLR. I want to see the bottoms of the antennas and the plugs. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  8. Do you guys know what these are (marked by Red arrows)? There were guys working on my tower, then they left 3 days ago. This is what they added (3 total of them). I haven't seen this in other threads. I'm 99% sure that's where Sprint's equipment is located. This is in Madison, WI so a Samsung market. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  9. Please get a picture of the antennas somehow. That's the only way we'll know if it's possible to get that signal. If I remember right, that tower isn't very high or very dense and is easily accessible, so it'll be easy to photograph. Like Robert has said, he doesn't have good internal sources in Wisconsin for updates on towers in progress, so it's up to us to get the evidence. Sent from my cm_tenderloin using Tapatalk 4
  10. Pine Ridge Park in Fitchburg just now on my dog's morning constitutional and my phone's going crazy with LTE and 800SMR notifications! Can't get a lock for long enough to get information. Perhaps testing the Verona or other Fitchburg tower. Home tree doesn't have panels up yet. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  11. Here's the tower near hwy 51 and hwy 30 on the dirty Eastside of Madison. There are a LOT of other antennae on this tower....a LOT. This is the bottom rack. You know most Sprint panels are on the bottom racks or lower on water towers....cheap skates. The one by me is the top rack at least. Anyways, NV work here too, it looks like to me. The other racks are clearly not Sprint stuffs. If you guys are in Madison and are Sponsors, please try to take a few pictures of some of these other towers. Message me if you want to divide and conquer some picture taking. I haven't been able to get to the tower on the Northside of the lake or out near Waunakee on 113, so if you travel that way, please let me know. Also, perhaps someone that traverses the Beltline could check out the tower off South Towne behind Super Walmart? The one more north in McFarland off Siggelkow by Curling Club? Then downtown ones on rooftops, I haven't had the time to get to them.
  12. Yeah, just came here to post the same thing. I don't get what the major malfunction is for acceptances in our area.
  13. Queue "Price is Right" loser music..... Can't believe we got blanked on acceptance reports!!!! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  14. Seminole Hwy and PD, my home tower in Fitchburg, greeted me with two dudes on the top rack (Sprint's) when I returned from the airport. Godspeed gentlemen! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  15. Imgur, then use paste the "direct link" into the picture icon area (if on the desktop version of this site). If on Tapatalk app, then you can insert picture via URL. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  16. It's possible that's from the Middleton tower across the lake. Hopefully not. There's a Sprint tower in that area near a park across the street from Warner. Go check that one for NV equipment. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  17. There's a lot of work done. I believe the October date. According to other threads here, they have to have all towers in urban areas done before switching them on if they're going to turn on 800SMR at the same time. Otherwise they have hand-off issues with active phone calls. I'm optimistic that it'll happen soon as most towers have NV equipment. And I can believe that with experiencing 800 here in Baltimore. It's not seamless at all yet. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  18. I will say though that although this area has LTE and 800SMR pretty pervasive, the data connections have been really spotty. Many times full signal of LTE and/or 1x800 (from signalcheck) and I'll get NO data transferred. So it's not all roses yet. When it does work, it's great, but still frustrating. Even with dBms of -85 and -62 respectively. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  19. How to extract? Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  20. Eh, it's Baltimore Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  21. I could throw a baseball and hit the antennas across from my room on the other building though :-) Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  22. Now this is reasonable speed in Baltimore in my hotel room Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  23. The tower near the Madison airport has RRUs and NV equipment. Wasn't able to grab picture though. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4
  24. I did see that more towers south of Madison (pretty much all of them because its so sparse) just got accepted for 3G, which is good because that means the NV equipment is in place, just not the backhaul. That's encouraging too! I'm off to Baltimore until Monday, looks like they've got the 4geez pretty much every where I'll be, so I'll run some speed tests. hopefully its better than San Francisco. And hopefully those chumps working on my Fitchburg tower will get up the equipment.
  25. I just did a PRL update on my Galaxy S4 and now have the 55016 PRL up from 55015 in Madison, WI. Once I updated, I got a blip of 1x800SMR (as chimed by SignalCheck Pro) but then 800SMR went away and haven't had it since. I didn't see much for this phone or PRL on that gdoc in OP. I've got a lot of tower work around me but nothing active in my immediate area.
