  1. NSN mini macs are 2T2R, comparable performance to Clear B41 sites. In my experience with the mini macs they really shine when a cluster of them are in operation.
  2. eHRPD is pretty much EV-DO, the call would still drop going from LTE to eHRPD.
  3. Arysyn sorry but after the first five sentences all I see is blah, blah,blah....shorten your posts others will thank you.
  4. Yep it's working now actually getting 2.5 inside the house. Restarted the phone and all is good now.
  5. So I pulled the trigger and turned in my S7 for the S8, love the phone but one thing that is irking me is this phone loves B26. At my house my S7 would stay parked on 1900 inside (-96 to -100) the S8 camps out on 800.
  6. Tim, do these magic boxes use a unique GCI and PCI or do they share the same GCI/PCI from the cell site that it connects to?
  7. Is Ericsson completely out now, or has some of the Ericsson employees been shifted to Sprint's network management?
  8. You make it sound as if Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile do not run into planning, permitting, or engineering issues. The majority of Sprint's cell sites have LTE its just a handful that do not. Up until about two years ago Verizon and AT&T had a couple of sites here that were only 1X/3G EV-DO and HSPA respectively. They will all get done...SoonTM
  9. Sprint not improving their network in smaller communities is not true. I live in small town with a population less than 45,000, all four major carriers are located here and almost on a regular basis I see tower crews doing upgrades for Sprint and Verizon. Verizon has been busy adding AWS and even erected a few new monopole cell sites, Sprint has been busy adding Band 41 2500MHz (NSN mini macs and 8T8R) to all their existing 800/1900MHz sites, cell site optimization, replacing 1900 RRUs, and even adding 4x MIMO PCS upgrades here.
  10. NSN just completed a cluster of four mini mac installs here in my town within a week. All four sites went live within two days after the install and B41 coverage is blanketed in my town town with a few cell sites having 8T8R. My download speeds went from 5-14Mbps on 800/1900MHz to 75-110Mbps when outside. Very impressed with what these NSN mini macs can do as far as coverage, I don't see 800MHz or 1900MHz anymore when I am outdoors. My phone hands off from 2.5 to 2.5 without it dropping down to 1.9 or 800 when traveling around town. Very impressed!
  11. Still waiting for a call from Sprint, anyone else still waiting or got a call and got turned down?
  12. I was quite shocked because 3G EVDO is strong where I was but my phone decided to hop on over to AT&T's B2.
  13. Does AT&T and Sprint have an agreement for LTE? Was in an area where Sprint hasn't upgraded the last cell site that lacks LTE and noticed my phone connected to AT&T B2 in the Bristol downtown area.
  14. Really, this site is for Sprint and wireless tech enthusiasts how is this thread still even in existence. The only paranormal activity that needs to be seen is the powers that be make this thread vanish.
  15. I have the Unlimited Freedom plan and stream Spotify and Pandora on HQ and never run into streaming or quality issues.
  16. I'd rather see the name SunCom come back before Nextel, when I think of Nextel I am reminded by those annoying ass people using PTT/chirp in sit down restaurants, cringe!
  17. Sprint doesn't need to deploy fiber to every cell site, there are other options that they currently utilize such as fiber to microwave bridges and AAV.
