So far it seems like the S9+ keep a more stable signal on 2500MHz.

If you chose to leave I'd suggest you return the Magicbox a month before leaving Sprint, just to make sure they receive the box you do not want to be charged $250 for the Magicbox.

Do i need to send back that small usb power bank thing if i need to return the MB?
Also....speeds are still good for me. Though the super fast 80megs or so I was seeing only lasted a day or 2. Now its back to its normal 40-60.
Why are you returning the Magicbox if I may ask? If you do return it everything that was included needs to be returned to Sprint including the power bank.
I hope people are not getting discouraged with the Magicbox when seeing slower data speeds, RF conditions do and will change as well as the donor site's load depending on time of day and subscriber growth.
My Magicbox when I first received it would see download speeds anywhere around 8-12Mbps, as I continued to let it sit in the same spot for a few days speeds increased over 20Mbps with dips below 20Mbps depending on the time of day.

My phone is in Philly now lol, too bad I'll be at work when it's delivered. Nice gift to come home to though, and rf comparisons will be done before I switch over. Hoping XPUE actually works on this one doesn't make a difference on this 8+.
Mine suppose to be delivered tomorrow, I'll post my observations on RF and HPUE tomorrow. My house sits around three Sprint cell sites, two of them running 2500MHz.

UPS hasn't even received the phones yet, a shipping label has been created which has put the phones into the UPS system to be ready for pickup. UPS will probably have them in their possession by 2PM today and on plane by 7-8PM, most of will receive S9's by tomorrow or no later than Wednesday.
UPDATE: My S9 was just received at the Louisville, KY hub as of 9:40AM.

Mine says shipped with a UPS tracking number but doesnt have a delivery date yet.

They aren't really doing you any favors. Its all apart of there plan. They said they want as many people upgrading early as possible to keep them payments coming. I guess it's a win win

Its fine by me! Sprint service is great in my area, unlimited data, free Hulu, new Galaxy every year, whats not to love!

Thanks Sprint! I still had 2 months before I could upgrade w/ Galaxy Forever but Sprint allowed me to upgrade without paying the remaining 2 months off.
Congrats! We've made you eligible to upgrade early to the new Samsung Galaxy S9 for $33/mo. Experience features reimagined when you skip the line to pre-order today. Plus, get FREE shipping when you order online.

I'd let it sit in the same place you had it originally and let itself optimize over the next day or so. Do you know if it's getting its back-haul from the same cell site (has the ID changed)?

When I first got my MB the 3rd week of February I was seeing download speeds int the 10->30mb/s range which was very good.
My signal isn't stellar (RSRP 111->114 CINR 1.0->5.0) but it was stable.
After the firmware upgrade to 15.15.50.440a my signal levels remained the same but my download speeds dropped dramatically.
Now they are in the 2->5mb/s range which is rather poor considering this is what I get on B25 indoors without the MB.Question: Is this drop in speed at all related the the firmware upgrade? The timing leads me to believe it is.
I even took the MB outdoors and performed tests at 8 cardinal points on the compass (with a reset each time) and the signal strength/quality improved but the download speeds did not.
Any insight appreciated.
J
What kind of CINR levels are you getting after the firmware update? My MB had the same update and it took it a day or two to get itself optimized and back into the swing of things.

For Galaxy Forever how is this going to work since none of us has had the S8 even 12 months yet?

I was told 12 payments for Galaxy Forever? Explicitly chatted with 2 different CSR. So none of us would qualify yet since this one is early.

True, so what gives then? I click on the upgrade now and it shows I can turn in my S8 for $0.00.

Galaxy Forever, got the same deal through email and even got a notification to pre-order and upgrade through the MySprint app. Trading in my S8 for the S9+.

So my MB GCI and PCI has changed, anyone else seen this? Also speeds ranged from 10 to 15Mbps but after the changes I'm getting 30+ Mbps now.

I'll add my MagicBox experience, recieved my MagicBox today and followed the simple directions and setup. Now my Sprint service was never bad or terrible but more on the side of fair to good seeing 800/1900 LTE indoors and 2500 LTE on the south side of my house if I was outside with speeds ranging from 5Mbps to 20Mbps depending on the time of day. So after finding a place to put this box of awesomeness where my OCD self thought it looked ideal and in optimal conditions plugged it in where it would finally rest, after all the configuration it decided on B41 (Band 41 High 2628000) instead of B25. My initial thoughts on the MagicBox is the range! Coming home my phone jumped on the MB over a block away! What I am kind of meh on is the speed seeing 10 to 20Mbps but the user count is 7 according to the MB so 5 other neighbors around me are hitting the MB as well. As far as topography my house sits the highest in our hilly neighborhood and I know 2.5 was non existent on the north facing side of the house which the MB filled quite nicely, add 7 other happy Sprint customers.
Note: When I left after setting up the MB the CINR was around 2.3 dB upon checking the screen 6 hours later it has climbed up to 7.2 dB. So it seems this little box is still optimizing itself.
Update: CINR is now up to 8.6 dB.

I haven't noticed until now but under access points I'm showing LTE ims as one of the options, is this beginning of VoLTE?

Does anyone else's Calling Plus turn on by itself?
Never had that issue.

Tri-Cities, TN area is ready for VoLTE based upon my observations using Calling Plus on my S8. Glad to finally hear that Sprint is making the move to VoLTE, gonna be a great year for Sprint.

It looks like they’ve added the ability to review trip mapping with signal strength depicted.
Yep using it on my Galaxy S8 time to map map map!
