Official Tmobile-Sprint merger discussion thread
NYC126 replied to Nextel49's topic in T-Mobile Merger/5G NR Deployment
Little Massa Son has gone on a spending spree for the last few years putting Softbank in massive debt which the board is now making him sell some of the assets that are not profitable. Brightstar is on sale, and now Sprint will follow. -
iPhones are slow compared to the Galaxy lines when it comes to radio, nevertheless Sprints speeds have gone up dramatically here in New York. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Verizon wireless speeds haven’t suffered here in Manhattan. All of their small cells are fed by the same fiber lines that FIOS run on it. Also, they are deploying those massive big single antennas next to their AWS radios. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nothing of a big change. Nokia bought Lucent so obviously they are taking those big cities LA, NYC, Philly, Boston etc that Alcatel previously was responsible for. Ericsson will take over the Southern states where they deployed the network vision 1.0 tech. The only thing that stays intact is the Samsung markets like Chicago, Seattle etc.

Interference with residential and businesses WIFI services. The LAA stuff uses the 5GHZ WIFI frequency band. Tmobile wants to be pretty using a public service band for a wireless for-profit business. They don't have the spectrum to deploy 5G period. They have to wait for the CBRS 3.5ghz band or the MMwave frequencies auction, but because their arrogance they say 600mhz and LAA can be used for 5G.

Where is the spectrum Tmobile will use for 5G? I mean they keep using that B.S that a 10x10, 15x15 600mhz will allow them to launch a nationwide rollout of the tech. I have heard from many people that you will need 100mhz of spectrum alone to deploy a fast, reliable and low latency 5G network. Sprint can do that on their 2.5Gz and Verizon on MMWave holdings.

AT&T was able to change their image due to the iPhone, Tmobile due to the so-called crooked wireless contracts. Perhaps Sprint game changer is 5G in early 2019. If they launch a 5G spotty network then they are finished. John Saw has a huge responsibility on his hands regarding the future of this company.
