  1. Most consumers don't actively make use of their data connection in the way that someone so proactively following LTE would. Over here on the IL side the major cities (Belleville/Fairview) do not have WiMax to fall back on. We're strictly 3G. People still buy the 4G devices for higher build quality. In lower income areas such as this, network speed/quality isn't always on the top of their list. It's price of plans + unlimited so they don't have to dedicate time to tracking their use. The way the mobile industry is going, the transition away from contract to prepaid is inevitable. Unfortunately, this will probably take a hit down the road on the quality of the hardware. Good news is, situations like this won't happen. Jump around to the best of the best when you want, expediting the competitiveness of a company as they can't hold them under their power for two years.
  2. I'm supposing they go by areas of densest population and fill outward around them.
  3. That's why I love you guys. Always on the ball and accurate way before we get word from the home office. That plus the fantastic network articles that've taught me more than any training Sprint could offer.
  4. This information is for people in the St. Louis area and surrounding. (See Missouri market map) Despite receiving a mass email to employees recently stating that LTE should be live in St. Louis by the end of the year, I worked one on one with a project director for MasTec today who was telling me that bidding for St. Louis LTE expansions have just began. Sprint is currently collecting estimates for pricing on what the cost would be to begin installing the necessary hardware and revamp the base-stations. These events precede rollout by a matter of months. What does this mean for St. Louis customers? We probably will not even begin to see LTE towers begin to turn on for consumers until shortly into the next year, or possibly late into Q1 2013.
  5. St. Louis's network barely even functions at the moment. I can't foresee LTE going live this year for us.
  6. Judging by the alledged dimensions, the front of the device will be 5.87 inches diagonally. I smell a Note size screen in the works. A screen of that size running IPS technology, I just may dehydrate from drooling.
  7. I can't believe Louisville is going to get LTE before St. Louis. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to work for Sprint....
  8. Been checking this site regularly for information, so I sent a little over to help keep this place going. Keep up the awesome work!
