  1. I have noticed that since the leaves have come down, my LTE coverage has improved. Its usable outside my house and I actually get signal inside my house. Hopefully some of the closer towers will go LTE before spring...
  2. Sprint fared well in the tornado in Washington. I'm about 5 miles North and actually switched over to the towers in Washington for a while right after the storm as my local tower at Lords road and 116 went down and still was down this morning when I left for work. The rest of Sunday I was on towers in North Peoria and Chillcothe. However on the way to work in I pass near the Washington towers on Cummmnigs Lane and switched to it with 4G. I didn't make a call but it showed up as the tower I was connected to. I talked with several first responders on the scene and they reported no cell service but after talking with them it sounded more like overloaded towers more than no service. Text messages would go through eventually and voice service was very spotty but their phones didn't actually show no service.
  3. In looking at the pattern on Sensorly, I think we just have the one tower in Washington right now. Its at one of the highest points around (look at all the radio station antennas in the area). All of the singnal strengths seem to point twoards it being in the center. I even picked the tower up when on a hike on the other side of the river at Forrest Park.
  4. They are appear to still be working in Peoria today. I was having flaky service all morning and then this afternoon I was on the 1st floor of my building inside a concrete block room where nobody has cell service and my 800mhz alarm went off. Sure enough, strong 800 mhz signal. The 800mhz has been up and down several times over the last couple hours but it seems to have stabilized. I hope they leave it on. I see we picked up another 4g tower in the Sunnyland area as well.
  5. This was by the hotel on Cummings Lane, behind Cherry Tree shopping center. I was on for 10 mins or so while I drove back over to Germantown. I've picked up the tower a few times via 4g on 116 in Germantown, thats about 3-4 miles from the tower. It wasn't usable but my signalcheck pro alarms went off. I've been running sensorly so some some of the purple around Washington is my doing.
  6. I also got 4g in the area for the first time today. 10-15 mb up and down 100 yards from the tower. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3t00aaca761qslh/2013-09-12%2016.29.18.png
  7. 800 mhz just outside of Peoria. I'm still having hand off issues to and from this tower at times. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4r4o18wppn5d42d/2013-09-12%2006.40.15.png
  8. I see a tower in Washington IL, shows as 4G-LTE now. Has anyone in the area actually got a connection?
  9. Peoria is noticeably different this week. Speeds and coverage seem to be slightly better. However, there seem to be hand off issues when leaving Peoria. Headed west on 116 I drop a call every time before I switch to the tower at Lourdes road and 116.
