  1. I checked this on the web site last night, and the 2-yr option was available for my wife's number. (She's been eligible for some time, but didn't want to change phones until lately.) When I checked again today, that option was gone. My concern now is that our contract end dates are scattered. One of my daughter's just got a new phone last month. So, are all of the rest of us (5 lines total) stuck until 2 yrs from now? Sent from my SM-T530NU using Tapatalk
  2. From the tower near my house just west of C'ville. About the same as my home dsl. Sent from my HTC One M9
  3. So, all went well this am online with a different card. What's still frustrating is not knowing what was broken last evening. #lifeonline Sent from my HTC One M9
  4. Please permit me a quick rant on experience with customer service just now. All I want to do is the available 2-yr contact upgrade of my daughter's phone. Can't do it in store. (We've lost our corporate store with the nTelos/Shentel change.) Tried online, and got the "This is not a valid credit card" message. Tried to redo several times, and that triggered a fraud alert and Bank of America called. Tried chat, and they told me several stories: technical issues on web site, no problem, transferred me to 4 different agents, and finally tried to walk me through the online process. Again, got the same credit card issue. (The card is good, our credit score is well above 800.) This all took well over an hour. Aaargh! Guess I'll try again tomorrow am Sent from my SM-T530NU using Tapatalk
  5. Off-topic quick question, if I may. This morning, my phone was acting oddly, followed by an Android message box telling me that a "Service update has been applied". This has happened occasionally, but infrequently. It's not the usual software upgrade. Is this something that Sprint pushed out? What is it for? Thanks for anything enlightening. 6. The most striking data I heard today was that 90K Michiganders voted on the entire ballot EXCEPT President. They voted for NO ONE at the top of the ticket. Sent from my HTC One M9
  7. Now, the question will be how our government can regain at least some functionality Sent from my HTC One M9
  8. Okay, so the obstructionism was bipartisan, but, I would argue, not equal Sent from my HTC One M9
  9. Or preventing the fair hearing of even some legislative action . . . Sent from my HTC One M9
  10. Yeah, same here. (This was Court Square tower downtown) Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
  11. Aww, now I won't enjoy the change in my readout from nTelos to Sprint. ???? Thanks, Mike, for an awesome app! ???? Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
  12. It's usually pretty good for me. Haven't noticed usability issues, as I'm on work Wi-Fi Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
  13. Hmm, I didn't notice that, but I wasn't particularly looking. I think I had LTE from the West main tower as usual. Sent from my SM-T530NU using Tapatalk
  14. Yes, and that hand-off can be kinda ugly, as I recall Sent from my SM-T530NU using Tapatalk
  15. I'm still hoping that the changes we've had were just the nTelos last gasp, and Shentel will swoop in and upgrade everything lickety-split. #optimistictoafault Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
  16. Quick question: our family is (still) on the old unlimited 1500 min contract plan. My daughter is in England, and she received a text (regular sms) from Sprint that she has unlimited text/data and calls are reduced to $.20/min. I didn't believe it, checked Sprint Zone app for account info, and there was a red indicator that international data overage was present and I would be charged. I called Sprint Care International and he repeatedly assured me that she did indeed have what the text said. I pointed out the discrepancy, and he apologized and again assured me. What gives? Am I completely ignorant of what sounds like a good deal that I did not have to do anything to get? (Too good to be true comes to mind) Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks for this. I had the briefly amusing thought of the county schools issuing tinfoil hats to students in light of radiation concerns. ; ) I noted the comment about the existing light poles in response to the viewshed concerns. The light pollution at night there is horrendous, especially during football season. Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
  18. I did notice one more tower that's gone LTE-active: 0187E9 on Reas Ford Rd. I'll send a SCP log once I've "seen" some more. Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
  19. Arysyn, you are arguing, or debating, whatever. Time to agree to disagree! Sent from my SM-T530NU using Tapatalk
  20. I've noticed that, if I'm passing through, the phone will manage to hold onto LTE. However, if I'm stationary there for any time, I lose it. I really wish they would update the antennas on the bank of America right there; they're still 3G only. Sent from my SM-T530NU using Tapatalk
  21. Yeah, c'mon! It's not like nTelos and Shentel are running for the Presidency! Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
  22. Yep, I'm looking forward to the completion of Shentel's efforts here in nTelos>Shentel-land! Sent from my 0PJA2 using Tapatalk
