Up here in Richmond, IN absolutely sucks when going between states. Hopefully these sites get knocked out soon!

I made contact with a guy from Detroit that is with Sprint. He called me after I tracked down an engineer on LinkedIn with a complaint. He gave me the March 11th date, and @SprintCares on twitter said within a few weeks for 4G. THe others are not "scheduled" until May, but he stated that may come sooner, once the crews are up here in the area. Fingers Crossed

Sorry, I meant to put the date in there. March 11th for the 3G! Not sure which towers but I believe Walmart effeminately, then either Glen Miller tower or the one up by Hills Pet.

Last I have heard from a reliable source is that 2 of the towers will completed for 3G upgrade and that 4G will be a few days afterward.

OK guys... I was told by a crew and a Samsung rep on site that our cluster was launching 4g last week but we have not seen anything. I do get an IP address in my LTE Engineering screen only when my WiFi is turned off. Dies mean they are testing and will launch soon? Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

I ran into a crew last week up here in Richmond, I heard from both the contractor crew and a rep from Samsung that the "cutover"date to switch to the new backhaul was yesterday and that they were launching the "Cluster". We have not seen any changes as of this morning.......anyone have knowledge of the process of bringing the "Cluster" up? All the sites have all the equipment and backhaul installed.........Thanks!

Yes, the TD-LTE cards. I ran past the site just now and not only was the crew and boss there from last night, but another vehicle pulled in and he said he was a "Samsung Engineer"! He told me this cluster in Richmond, IN is going live on Feb 6th. Also, stated that they are installing the TD-LTE cards in the spring at this location......

I ran into a crew at IN03UB081 in RIchmond, IN. They were swapping the panels because they had accidentally installed 2 of them in the wrong sector. (I did not realize it made a difference) They were scheduled to do a "Cutoff" (switch to the new backhaul) today for this cluster. Since they had to swap the panels, this has been moved to February 7th he stated. He also said that they are also in the process of installing 2.5 cards in all of the towers in the Cincinnati market.....

FYI - They started upgrading the Walmart tower 2 days ago....they craned in the new cabinets, ran new cables to the top, and were installing the new panels. I spoke to the crew and they said they would be done in 3-4 days. (They are really moving quick on this site). The tower down by Glen Miller recently just got everything installed within the past 3-4 weeks, I saw climbers still working on it this past Thursday. The tower over by Hills Pets has the cabinets just sitting there, not attached. Fiber has been ran there for Sprint for 2 months, this site will be turned real quick once they get to it. I am not sure what is happening with the west side tower, I have not made it over there. We will be seeing some 4G action pretty soon I believe.

This is a tower up in Richmond. I have been watching crews for weeks and finally today they are installing the new equipment on top. I love progress!

Yes, as long as there are not too many hops. There are only 2 towers feeding from the one....

The left tower is 4 (I-70 Right by Indiana) - Appears that they are installing wireless backhaul - site has been 3G/800 accepted. The right tower is (Richmond, IN) - Appears that they are running the new cables to the top.
