  1. Not sure what TB is. Removed the apk using the file manager in TWRP recovery. I have confirmed that VVM.apk is still gone, but that doesn't seem to have actually been the voicemail app. Not sure what it was - so far I haven't missed it.
  2. Can you tell me where the voice mail app is? I thought it was VVM.apk, but removing that didn't change anything as far as I can tell. Thanks!
  3. I have had no data service for the last 1 hour+. Poway to Torrey Pines and points between. Sprint denies all knowledge. Is it just me? …and it's back.
  4. This is nothing new. LA was announced on April 18. http://community.sprint.com/baw/community/buzzaboutwireless/network-and-coverage/blog/2013/04/18/sprint-announces-availability-of-4g-lte-in-los-angeles-and-20-other-new-markets
  5. I think we have a winner! Thanks!
  6. I'm sure this has been posted somewhere before, but I haven't found it. I apologize for my laziness. The Note II is my third Android phone. The first two, a G1 and an OG EVO, both got rooted by this point. But I'm really happy with my unrooted Note II. I would like to know what I could do better by rooting? And what capabilities would I lose? Thanks!
  7. I got that too. Of course the Sprint Zone app never really explains the notifications it gives. I know what we're all reading into the notification, and I hope it's true, but... I guess we'll see.
  8. For what it's worth, I was able to install Wallet from the Play Store on my stock unrooted Note 2 and get it all set up with a funding source and everything. I have not tried to pay for anything yet. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Maybe I'm the only one who didn't know this, but I was excited to notice today that my LTE data connection stays active during phone calls. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  10. My impression of the LTE in San Diego is that it's way too variable from day to day and hour to hour to tell if the baseband makes a difference. It'll be interesting to hear if going back helps, but I suggest waiting until LTE is officially turned on before doing any serious tests. My Note 2 (unrooted) got the upgrade on Wednesday, and I haven't noticed a significant change. Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
  11. I don't think there's an NV tower at UCSD. Do you mean the one along I-5 between Gilman and 52?
  12. Well, the article lists areas where "the 4G LTE Network build is under way." According to your schedule, the San Diego buildout should be starting this month, I was disappointed to not see it in that list. Of course, San Diego isn't alone - I would have expected to see San Francisco on the list and it isn't there either. In a later post you mention "the launch deadline of December that they probably used to make this list" (I underlined "probably"). I don't agree with your interpretation unless it's based on information not in the press release. The release doesn't say anything about a launch date - just where the build is underway. I apologize if this is sounding like I'm criticizing you, but I don't mean it that way. You are providing a real service, since usually Sprint won't tell us anything. But until some evidence surfaces that the buildout in San Diego really has begun I will remain convinced that this signifies a delay.
  13. How is this not a surprise to somebody who believed the dates that you posted for San Diego? Was your data flawed, or has Sprint changed the plan?
  14. Maybe this has already been answered somewhere else on the website, but I couldn't find it. Is the Google Maps list of towers used to make your figures available somewhere? Thanks for the information. I can't wait.
  15. No word on San Diego? No Wimax, and typical "3G" speeds in 170kbps range. I gave up 3Mbps on T-Mobile for this a year ago! Bad decision.
