I thought this was a good article about sprint branding to the young ones... https://thenextweb.com/contributors/2017/08/24/how-sprint-leveraged-gen-z-to-pivot-their-brand/#.tnw_umzAKZuu I've not personally seen any of this advertising but I don't subscribe to influencers any of that type of marketing, has anyone else? It seems people are confusing an airrave for magic box. Magic box isn't a solution for low outdoor signal and speeds won't dramatically increase if the feeder signal is marginal (or if the source is 5x5 b25). If service is poor outside, the box won't create fiber fed service, u need an airrave Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

If I recall correctly, you live within shentel coverage. This may be the reason why no one has contacted. I live within shentel's footprint too and also requested a magic box the second I read about it on this forum. I haven't received any communication from Sprint aside from the acknowledgement email. Thats a great shentel speed test! Does anyone know if there have been magic boxes approved for those living in shentel areas? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

I did this for my father about a year ago (iPhone se) . As soon as I left thier house, he had problems with the phone and being an android guy myself... I couldn't troubleshoot or navigate the menus over the phone. He ended up taking the phone back and getting a Samsung J3, set it to easy mode, and he's fine. Plus I can help navigate menus with him if needed. That was my experience. Those new moto e4 phones are cheap with a smaller screen size than most Android phones today too. Looks like a future plan actually happened... https://www.wirelessweek.com/news/2017/07/sprint-teams-great-north-woods-wireless-provide-lte-roaming-new-hampshire I'll be driving to visit my parents in Coos County next week too! Bad part is that we'll be making a 14 hr drive with a 2 and 6 year old and a dog. [emoji22][emoji21] I'll report back with results, if I'm still alive/sane Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

Local FL paper had a nice write up/summary of the current sprint talks. Interesting to read that Charter took out bonds for $1.5 billion on Tuesday... http://www.heraldtribune.com/news/20170629/lappin-new-wrinkle-in-sprints-future-is-emerging Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

Obvious and true. Sprint didn't spend much of any Capex in 2016, and added 1 million+ customers. When looking at the charts I don't see that the network performance decreased... It just flatlined. Hopefully that means good things now as they are spending $$$ again. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

Spoken like an honest troll, I'd classify you as the persistent debate troll: This type of troll loves a good argument. They can take a great, thoroughly researched and fact-based piece of content, and come at it from all opposing discussion angles to challenge its message. They believe they're right, and everyone else is wrong. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

Calling Plus (VoLTE "Lite")
Jones replied to burnout8488's topic in Network, Network Vision/LTE Deployment
I read (a little) about rrc release from eNB to UE in context of a data session. Is the eNB equipment fast enough to issue an RRC release with carrier balancing to not cause the call to fail? I know loading a web page or video can lag a little and it's not a big deal, but if that occurs on a voice call would it drop, or suffer decrease quality? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk -
I had an (on purpose) 1 day layover in Boston with my family a few weeks ago and hit all of the touristy areas I could. Harvard, Aquarium, Faneuil and the Sprint phones worked great. I honestly didn't even think about my service because it worked everywhere I went.

My friend Mr. Google showed me. It was an image search of shentel fiber map Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

I'm not exactly sure. I know shentel has quite of bit of fiber in the area, but so does at&t. It would be a head scratcher if shentel was directly feeding the towers and still restrict the bandwidth to their customers (via sprint). Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

I haven't received a call either. I'm in a b25/26 only neighborhood as b41 doesn't reach here. I have a feeling I'm gonna be referred to an airrave 3 or nothing at all. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

That's interesting that you're getting high speeds. Since I've moved to shentel land even with B41 2xCA, 10x10 B25 I've never had speeds above 5 to 8 mb/s down. I think the back haul just isn't scaled to the full potential of those technologies Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
