So true. I finally gave up though. After a bit more than 8 years they still couldn't manage to expand coverage in any way whatsoever. Too many highly developed areas with sub par coverage or service. Decided to see what T-Mobile is like and if they don't work we'll switch over to Verizon. It's only been a few days but it's more or less a lateral move coverage wise though T-Mobile has been adding new sites which means they care about the market. The big difference is how useable the signal is. The other day I had one bar of 4G but webpages loaded in a second or two. A similar Sprint signal would've been unusable. Sprint does offer roaming but I've found it useless the past few years. And of course it's nice to have VoLTE now instead of waiting another year or two.

The scary thing is that Sprint leadership thought this was a good idea worthy of investing money in. They need corporate owned stand alone stores here in New Jersey. The RS locations they kept were mostly in rundown areas and washed up shopping centers that time passed by. Meanwhile the other three carriers make sure they are where their customers are.

I think the Hesse reign was one of treading water and that's being charitable. The company was in terrible condition but for the compensation he was receiving I expected better. He should've known early on the company wasn't viable as a standalone entity and needed to be sold. Eventually he sold a majority stake to Softbank but to me they are turning out to be a less than ideal choice.

Are you on one of the new single line plans? They show autopay discount being a debit or checking only. -

They are just trying to save a few pennies. Debit/checking transactions are cheaper than credit cards. I prefer to pay with a credit card so I can earn points. -
Exactly, The store situation in NJ is pretty pathetic in my area. But then again why bother to add stores when you don't really care about the market that much? Haven't seen any new sites in my area in years. I used to complain to Sprint endlessly about all the coverage holes, in densely populated areas no less, but now I don't even bother. After seven years it's time to move on. The promises Softbank made when they purchased Sprint were nothing but hot air.

And judging from that map it's pretty much in Northwest Jersey. Coverage can be pretty bad on most carriers when you get all the way up there. Sussex Cellular used to be there but I can't remember what happened to them. They were an odd company.

Sorry about that but the phone in my profile is wrong. I'm using an iPhone 6S Plus. The reality is that Sprint has neglected the market for so long now that a ton of work needs to be done and they don't have the resources to do it. The LTE rollout isn't even complete. You would think a densely populated state like NJ wouldn't be that hard to cover. Luckily I just went out of contract last month so I'm not obligated to stay.

That's what I expected. I've been with them since 2007 and other than some Nextel sites coverage has never been expanded in my areas. Probably time to move on. Too much 3G still and too often service that isn't useable in buildings. The pitfalls of doing business with a company that never seems to have any money I guess.

So has anyone seen any new sites go up anywhere in New Jersey? That's the big problem for me. Upgrades are nice, of course they should've been done long ago, but the coverage is just really hurting in too many areas.
