  1. In the thread "Sprint GS5 android 6.0" over at XDA, someone posted screenshots from 6.0.1 for the Sprint S5 that he got OTA. Sounds like he is having problems with it though.
  2. In various forums, I have seen several reports of the SD card notification. Some people have gotten replacements and don't have the issue anymore while others have the same problem with replacements. It doesn't seem to be limited to carrier version or Exynos or Qualcom versions. So far I don't think there has been any real fix to the issue yet, just lots of suggestions to try. It could be an app that is causing it, similar to the Dunkin Donuts app that was causing problems with WIFI or it could be a bad batch of sim trays causing the SD card to randomly eject. I have been waiting to see if this is a software or hardware issue before upgrading from my S5.
  3. Samsung is rolling out 6.0 in Korea. Hopefully Sprint won't be too far behind.
  4. I wonder if Sprint is waiting for the LTE Plus to be announced, since I assume they will remove the Spark branding from all their phones? I think the S6 got an update a month or so ago that removed the spinning spark logo. From what I can tell, very few carriers have 5.1 for the S5. I think almost all of the international versions are still 5.0 so its not just Sprint. At this point, I bet we get another update to 5.0 soon and then go straight to 6.0.
  5. OK5 http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SM-G900P-SPRINT/OK5.rdf Of course, 5.0
  6. Now OJ4, still says 5.0. Its gotta be 5.1.1 right?
  7. I'm not sure I believe this new RDF is still 5.0 since didn't the last RDF have a different model number than the 900P? It looks like the Canadian S5s are getting 5.1.1. From what I read the T-Mobile 5.1.1 update wasn't very good either compared to the 5.0 update. I don't mind Sprint taking longer to make sure we get a good update. I am so tired of the super slow performance of the S5 and somewhat turrible battery life. The S5 was a great phone before 5.0 and if Sprint can roll out an update that fixes it, I will be happy again. Its a shame its taken so long to get the S5 back to what it was before 5.0, but alot of that blame lies with Google. Their nexus phones had the same kind of memory leaks and poor battery as well.
  8. Since there hasn't been any updates for the S5 in a while, could it be possible that we will go straight to 6.0 skipping 5.1.1?
  9. I reset my S5 last night and while going through the setup process I noticed it said to sign into dropbox and get 50GB free for 2 years. Is that new? Of course, since I had two factor authentication turned on I couldn't receive the code and had to skip setting up dropbox. I signed in later and didn't see any mention of free space.
  10. Noticed this morning that Sweetwater now has LTE. Speed test shows 11MB which is a big jump from the 150k the FCC app was showing yesterday.
  11. I was over by Hendrick's Monday and was able to pick up 4G for first time in Abilene. Signal didn't last very long and I was dropped back to 4G. Speed Test results: Test Date: Jul 15, 2013 4:04:54 pm Connection Type: Lte Server: Keller, TX Download: 7.94 Mbps Upload: 0.70 Mbps Ping: 48 ms External IP: 66.87.97.151 Internal IP: 29.124.53.151 Latitude: 32.47096 Longitude: -99.73354 A detailed image for this result can be found here: http://www.speedtest.net/android/515935527.png Does anyone know about some of the smaller towns around Abilene and the plans for 4G there? Sweetwater, Roscoe, Colorado City?
