I live 1 mile east of Transit next to the Lancaster HS and have an intermittent 4G here tonight. But because both the 3G and 4G signals being received are so bad, I can barely make a call without it dropping.

What is also strange is that I thought the initial Sprint plan was to work from outside the area in towards the city, with places like Fredonia and Batavia getting 4G first? And now its like by the airport? Does anyone know where the towers are going? It seems most are placed down the roadways correct? I'm really hoping to see some place down Central Avenue/Harris Hill in the Lancaster area. I live near the Lancaster HS, and the existing 3G coverage is absolutely horrible.

This is fantastic news. Had a coworker seeing 4G on her phone yesterday (8/1) but it missing again today. Possibly still testing the tower. My existing HTC EVO is not lte, but our contracts are up, and we live a mile east of the airport, so hopefully we get some good signals at home. Possibly going to upgrade tonight.

I'm still on the fence about changing to Verizon or Staying. But can someone explain to me what 800mhz lte is compared to other types of lte and its benefits? So if sprint doesn't use 800mhz lte, does that mean Verizon or someone else's lte is better/faster? What does IBEZ mean?

I walked into the local sprint store near the Galleria last night to ask about 4G. I think the girl was honest and truthful, but you never know for sure. But I was told that it will be up and running by 12/31 at the latest, and that the store ware recently notified via email that it is coming. And she said normally when they get that type of email, it has to start launching within 90 days. So I would have to say a good guess would be Buffalo should have it in 3 to 6 months?

Hi, I'm pretty new here, still getting comfortable. But does anyone know if there have been any updates on Spring 4G in the Buffalo markets? Like some, our contracts are up and I'm really considering a change to Verizon or AT&T, but heard rumors it may be here in August 2013? I'll wait it out another month, but after that, if no 4G after paying for it for 2yrs, I think its time to move to someone else.
