Samsung Galaxy Note 2: Big enough for everything (except SVDO)
in The Wall
A group blog by The Wall Editors in General
It would be hard to go back to no SVDO as you get used to having it. I use it all the time in my car with navigation and when I'm at the movies looking up times and calling at the same time. You don't realize how much you get used to it until you meet someone who can't do it. I mean ATT knew it was a big deal which is why they spent millions of commercials advertising that their network could talk and surf at the same time. But hey to each his own right?Hey Robert what ever happened to the article on all the phone signal quality reviews? I remember you said you were done with the testing but are writing the story. Do you have an ETA? Thanks and keep up the great work!
I use svdo too much now for me to go to a device that doesn't support it.

Great write up as usual, I didn't even realize the quadcore variant was just a naked chip with no incorporated modems. Also, maybe I read this wrong but I thought the viper supported svdo, doesnt it?

Sprint LTE launched today and a video for your viewing pleasure
in The Wall
A group blog by The Wall Editors in General
Well yet again, Sprint has over promised and under delivered. What a non event this has turned out to be.I live on the NW side 249 & Louetta rd. Drove to Willowbrook, 1960 & 45 and back to the house the length of Louetta. No 4G anywhere. From the reports on the various fourms, I am not alone. Some launch. Oh, and 3G is the same crappy 50kbps I have been stuck with for months. No improvement there either. Can't even stream a radio station on TuneIn.What is it I am paying for Sprint?
How did sprint over promise and under deliver? Do you expect everything to go smoothly at the flip of a switch? This is a work in progress and things are in the process of getting better.

Yell at me all you want. The Greater Cleveland Metro area has over 2 million people and the City of Cleveland has a population density of about 5 times greater than PR. /rant
Ok and?

I have to say.. I love PR and can't wait to go back.. but why the hell is PR getting NV before many many markets in the US?? Sorry PR, I love you.. but need NV in Cleveland first.
The population of Cleveland is about 400,000
The population of Puerto Rico is about 3.7 million

Thanks for the update Robert, still though I am pretty positive that PR will get upgraded fairly quickly, I am just nervous that the VI will get shafted like they do with everything else thats related to technology.

Ready for LTE launching? Sprint says mark your calendar for July 15th in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City and San Antonio
in The Wall
A group blog by The Wall Editors in General
There is a possibility that they will unblock prior to the launch. We just now know what the drop dead date for that is.Robert
I wouldn't be surprised if they had a "soft launch" a few days before to work out all the kinks since all these towers are all gonna be on at the same time for the first time.

Sprint delaying pre-orders of the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S III and possibly 16GB models
in The Wall
A group blog by The Wall Editors in General
Reading the comments over at Sprint in response to the posting is painful. Like Sprint decided to delay them. People need to get a grip. I'm disappointed, but whatcha gonna do? I'll be more than happy if they give me a gel case like they did with the EVO LTE.Robert
I got to call you out on this one, LOL. Yes its very frustrating when it comes to delays but its very easy for you to say since you already have a gnex and a evolte to quench your smartphone thirst. Someone who's been using the same phone for a few years can't relate to what you are saying.

Picked mine up from BB this afternoon Is it worth $169 for the 2 yr replacement? Didn't know that Sprint was charging a $30 device upgrade charge.
If you contact ecare, they usually will credit you back that charge.
What is a PRL?
