  1. I get 25% as well, the highest discount rate I have ever seen is 28%.
  2. Well for me, I haven't had any major issues with sprint over the 10+ years I have been with them and with them being the most bang for the buck I will stay with sprint for the time being. Of course recently with their data issues it is now becoming increasingly difficult to not be tempted by the competition but with NV I really hope sprint can give us the performance improvements we so desperately need. But to answer your very last question, with everything as they are right now if all the carriers had the same price point I think most of us will be on verizon, I know I would.
  3. @Rawvega, not sure if you are from puerto rico or if you have ever been there but those holes you see are areas that are sparsely populated areas with lots of mountains peaking at almost 4400 feet. The coverage you see on that map covers I would say about 95% of the population of the island. On a personal note, even though I am confident that puerto rico will be upgraded soon my main issue is with the virgin islands. Even though they are part of the puerto rico market they always get treated and I mean always get treated like the red headed stepchild. So if I was a betting man I would say puerto rico will be completed within the next 12 months but at least not for another 2 years for the virgin islands and thats being generous. In either case though if its all true then this will be excellent for me since I fly to either island at least once a month on business, not to mention I am currently in St. Thomas as I type this.
  4. Yeah, I have been insanely lucky buying and selling stocks over the last several years all of which where short term investments which kills me on taxes but overall it has been more than worth it so far.
  5. Honestly I don't expect their shares to reach that high so soon but you never know. I think I will go ahead and buy some stock right now and see how it goes. As of right now sprints stock is already up another 7.39% for the day. Their stock hasn't seen this much positive activity in a while.
  6. Well, I do quite a bit of investing myself and for the most part I personally don't hold anything long term at all. I monitor all my investments at least every day to every other day. When I bought my sprint stock it was at $3.35 and when it peaked last summer at almost $6 I decided to sell it and looking back at that decision obviously it was a good idea. Now recently its been hovering around $2.30 for several weeks and I really wanted to by some more again. With sprint making these new announcements about network upgrades and nv/lte I do believe that investors and consumers alike will start to regain their confidence in sprint which in turn should raise their stock price. Personally I will end up buying more sprint stock in the next few days, because I do believe that their price will get back up to $4 to $5 by year end. @Macinjosh 7% return in one day is one hell of an investment. I know where you are coming from and I know its hard to not look at it as far as dollars and cents but using percentages is the best way to go and gives you a better understanding as far as growth goes. I have some cd's at my bank right now that are getting a whopping 0.9% apy.
  7. You will be lucky if you even get half of that from sprint. As much as I love my evo 3d it just doesn't carry the same value like the evo 4g did a year after release. So by the time the evo hd lte is released I figure sprint will give no more than $75 to $100 max for a evo 3d.
  8. Thats for damn sure!!! My mom had a simple flip phone for years and thats all she ever needed. A few months ago her phone finally died, so she went to the att store and all they had at the time were feature phones. She ended up getting some kind of pantech device which had a slide out keyboard and was also touchscreen. My mother is 68 years young and she isn't going to take the time to figure out how to use it. She was so upset because she had absolutely no clue how to answer the phone much less knowing how to do anything else on it which meant that I am her main source of tech support, and if I wasn't already bald I would be by now, LOL. Anyway, there are millions of people that just want to make phone calls, we need more basic phones.
  9. This is great, what sprint needs is a constant revenue stream. I would say that there are many sprint customers that are on the fence when it comes to decision of either switching or staying and there is only but so much nickel and diming you can do to your customers before they leave so getting these wholesale contracts will be key to their growth, which in turn will benefit the rest of us as well.
  10. True but unfortunately when this site does blow up all the civility, respect and kindness on these forums will be long gone once it fills up with the regular idiots around the web. But I am sure Robert will select excellent mods to keep things under control if it ever gets to that point.
