  1. Nothing yet for me...looking forward to the fix for the contacts lag issue. Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  2. Sadly, still no LTE at work. Hopefully soon... Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  3. I now have LTE at home! Pretty good signal, too. I've been out a week, so this was done at some point during last week. Looks like Sprint finally turned on one of the towers that is relatively close to my home! Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  4. Traveling up I95 from South Carolina to New Jersey really makes me appreciate the coverage in Atlanta... Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  5. After the latest OTA, I'm still finding some areas in Duluth where a manual toggle was necessary in order to switch over to LTE. It looks like the evo could still use a bit more work... Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  6. There seems to be a general LTE outage this morning in the Buford/Duluth area. No love for the new update... Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  7. I watched the data connection during my drive in to work, which goes through areas of 3G only, and areas of LTE. In the areas that I know to have LTE, I found that the phone automatically acquired and held an LTE connection. Performance was good (10+Mbps up and down). Areas that don't have LTE still don't. This update brings support for the menu button mapped to the recent apps button. It works great, and gets back some screen real-estate. The update does NOT bring quick settings in the pull-down status bar, nor does it bring additional options for long-press power (still just power off, airplane mode, and restart). Multitasking seems to be about the same, I still find apps closing when I wouldn't expect them to. All in all, if you aren't rooted, I recommend this update. So far, nothing but improvements, even if it doesn't have all of the improvements that we had hoped for.

  11. And just like that...boom! An update first thing this morning. Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  12. I've had no problem getting 3g in the Duluth area this morning, but throughput has been very slow. Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  13. Fingers crossed that this makes getting and keeping an LTE connection better...
  14. At home, near Mall of Georgia, I was previously getting an ehrpd connection, sometimes LTE. Now I can only get an evdo rev a connection. And a slow one at that. Something has changed for the worse - maintenance on the towers? Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  15. And now it is working for me in Atlanta...seems to be on again/off again. Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  16. Correction to my previous post...it was working in California. Now that I am back home in the Atlanta area, it is not working. Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  17. Btw, since I landed at the airport, I have gotten an LTE connection several times, but it keep dropping... Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  18. And suddenly, with no change on my end, it is working again... I bet Sprint was blocking it for some reason. Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  19. Not yet...once I get back from travel, I'll give it a try... Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  20. My wife and I are having the same problem on our evo LTE phones. Pandora works over WiFi, but not 3g or LTE. Glad to hear it isn't just us... Used to work fine, even after the of a update, then just stopped. Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  21. With all the reports of issues with the EVO LTE getting a 4G connection (requiring manual toggles, forcing LTE-only mode, etc), how many of us have contacted Sprint? I recall Robert saying that he suspected that Sprint has had multiple contacts and that they were aware of the issue, but I wanted to start a tally of various facts: Who actually has contacted them What their response was What steps they had you take to debug the issue Whether or not the Sprint rep seemed to have a clue How many of you returned/swapped phones Any other relevant facts? My hope is that there is a trend of increasing awareness/acknowledgement that there is a problem, that HTC is working on a fix, and some sort of timeframe as to when we might see that fix in an OTA... Thanks, - Dave
  22. On my drive home last night, I had the data mode set back to it's standard/default CDMA/LTE setting. It had been on 3G all day long, and suddenly switched over to LTE without any toggles or forcing the connection. Speed test showed >9Mbps up and down. Once I left that tower, it went back to 3G and stayed there for the rest of my drive. I wish I knew what made it decide to give LTE a try on its own, and why it doesn't do that as I'm driving by other towers...
  23. From the main screen, tap "Telephony", then tap "Turn WiMAX (4G) on". Scroll down a bit until you see the "Turn off radio" button. Just above that is a list selector that should say "CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto". Tap that. In the list that pops up, select "LTE only". The change takes effect immediately.
  24. The Elixir 2 app rocks! Using it, and without my MSL, I was able to switch to LTE only mode. In this mode, I kept a good LTE signal for 90% of my drive in to work. Speed tests were all over the map, but typically above 3mbps up and down. Peak speeds were above 15mbps. LTE is definitely active in the Buford and Duluth areas, and my phone is definitely capable of using it. It just chooses not to. Very frustrating... Unfortunately, using other modes (like cdma/LTE) don't get me an LTE signal, it stays in 1x mode. Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
  25. No signs of LTE while driving home. Drive past the spring store and down gravel springs. Got home, walked out to the mailbox, then very briefly saw an LTE signal. Does back to 3g before I could run a test on it... Sent from my EVOlte using tapatalk
