  1. "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves." Not today, Satan Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  2. Let him enjoy paying $120 for 18gb before the device payment. And i guess another $75 for the 5gb overage to get him to 23gb Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  3. I dont comprehend all the throttling/priority whining. Seems to be why we cant have nice things. Tmobile has been "reducing priority" for users beyond 21GB since the summer and seems to have emerged unscathed. Sprint cant win with some people no matter what. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  4. If unlimited audio streaming remains an accepted practice, I hope Sprint would consider allowing it as a feature with slightly higher price points on shared data plans. Theyre basically giving away the farm with the current $120/40GB 4 line plan when u consider 10GB is $100. If I were Sprint, I think $120 for 4 lines to share 10GB and get free audio streaming is the safer bet. I guess we will have stay tuned as the current offers expire soon Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  5. Im also against it. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Sprint, I find it even more offensive for this to be limited to Virgin customers. With the disappearance of contracts and the availability of financing showing up on prepaid, the line between postpaid and prepaid is far more thin and blurred than it used to be. If network speed and capacity is a finite resource for the average sprint user and streaming remains one of the main causes of congestion, allowing it on prepaid but not postpaid is a kick in the face to sprint users with data buckets Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  6. When will we finally accept that Tmo & Sprint cannot match the size and depth of ATT and Verizon's networks separately? Is that what all of this disappointment is about? 600mhz was going to give the little guys "the same network" as the big guys? And now its time to give up? Tmo has grown by almost 10M subscribers over the last 2+ years based on pricing and advertising an "idea" about network quality. Sprint cant be Verizon or ATT, but it will keep the lights on by going after Tmo with its massive spectrum assets. Or they could just bet the farm on 600mhz, sell off spectrum and assets to keep the lights on, plan to have an amazing network once all the technology hurdles are overcome... But goodness, that sounds so familiar. I vote for strength today. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  7. Its a long game of positioning. The densification plan, the statements about being open to a merger, opting out of a big auction. It is all intentional. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  8. Ergen has his hands out to anyone who will listen. Count on it. I cant see Verizon maintaining a working relationship with him. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  9. You're right. Sprint travelers will love visiting the hospitality state and not blowing their roaming cap. But living here is a diff story and the quality of the roaming experience is very much contingent on whats happening at cspire for us. My family all abandoned Sprint. I keep one line active and hope there is a bigger network experience to come to Sprint for in the future. And I am hopeful and cautiously optimistic to see the two companies grow even closer. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  10. Counted as native, yes. And thats great. But the devices still tell you they are roaming and search for a sprint signal. Prior post point is that i dont see this changing Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  11. Cspire coverage, thus far, has never appeared as native to Sprint customers. In fact, I still occasionally end up in very rural places and all I find with Cspire is 1x with my 1 remaining sprint phone. Thats a Cspire problem, not a Sprint problem. As cozy as Sprint and Cspire have become, the last thing Cspire wants is to see its customer base erode worse because Mississippians start realizing they can have Cspire at Sprint prices. Cspire no longer sells unlimited data. I have 1 friend in Cspire network operations and 2 that work in retail.. all say that in the last two years the company has done away with overtime, skimped on pay raises, scaled back employee appreciation events and been defiant as customers rage about the inability to keep unlimited data plans when they upgrade to LTE devices or buy new unlimited plans. Best case scenario is that we end up with LTE access while roaming that isn't counted against us. But never as native coverage, unless Sprint agrees to stop selling service in the state or allows Cspire to assume its customers.
  12. Nice clarification from Sprint. Patiently dreaming about seeing that cspire lte become native for Sprint customers, even if it was never advertised. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  13. Xfinity wireless: its comcastic! Seriously though, comcast suffers from some of the blind hatred that sprint has to endure because 1)they have been in the game a very long time 2) they have a mess of bad history with service and cs. A comcast purchase of tmo would theoretically leave tmo as a wholly owned subsidiary that would continue to operate as itself. Anything else would be foolish Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  14. Yes, if Tmo had usable coverage everywhere their map claims, they would in many places have rural coverage superior to that of Sprint.
  15. Overall, Tmo is farther behind sprint than Sprint is behind ATT. Wow. What most disheartening is the persistent chagrin tossed at Sprint as recently as the past two weeks by "experts" = "distant 4th place", "not competing" "no longer competitive" "last place carrier"
  16. Exactly. Much like there is no gentle way for Softbank to sell Sprint right now, there is no logical buyer for the Overland Park campus. Who would want it? Better, who would pay what Sprint's asset sheet values the campus at? The answer: no one. Sprint would either hold on to it indefinitely or they would have to sell it for less than its actual value, thus reducing the value of the company. Not even on the radar until theyre profitable again or in a corporate bankruptcy. The better use for it is to rent out space to anyone who will pay. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  17. Just make sure to remember, Verizon's across the board line charge is now $20. Praying that doesnt inspire S/T/ATT to do the same in the future Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  18. Just when you can't make up your mind between Sprint and Tmobile... Tmo reminds you how delicious a hot dog can be and its magenta 4 life.
  19. If theyre willing to spend the money, brand awareness can be built around any naming scheme, regardless of its initial appeal. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  20. Perhaps Cspire's 700mhz holdings could be acquired? They've yet to be put to use. Cspire itself has ceased the sale of unlimited plans altogether in the last year and seems to be dumping more into expanding its wired broadband expansion than anything else. Its no longer clear that they intend on incurring the cost to build out that spectrum and spec their devices for the appropriate band. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  21. Yep. I hated reading the WSJ article. I don't think the Softbank or Sprint folks that allowed some of this info to be gleaned from them completely understand the satisfaction that US media takes in divulging Sprint's pain, misfortune, or struggles. I understand that Softbank started this conversation by re-affirming its support of Sprint, but the digging to explain what happened up that point is tabloid tech media porn. Beyond that, Son could still be playing a long game to score a mega merger if Sprint ends up in a cash bind or continues to falter. I hope there is real magic in the network density project. The network is definitely competitive, but I don't think the brand can withstand another prolonged pummeling.

  23. With no early upgrade/device trade options and increased per line charges for those with larger buckets, Verizon can lump it. Its almost as though theyre inviting folks, especially older people, to shop other carriers. Device financing is certainly the future, but Verizon has lots and lots of customers on old plans of all sorts. This will be a major education task for stores working with older customers Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  24. I think Tmo's growth is good for all the little guys. Together, Tmo and Sprint now command more market share than they ever have in the history of their existence. If Tmo is able to continue to grow while Sprint holds steady or grows at a slower rate, it chips away at the big two and further socializes more and more Americans to consider a 2nd tier wireless carrier Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
