I really hope they include the ipad mini 2. I bought one from best buy when the mini 3 came out, and used the trade in promotion to get one almost free. But of course it wont activate on sprint as its an "ATT" model, but all cellular mini 2's were including band 26/band 25 iirc. It reads the sim and shows LTE for a small time, but goes into a locked mode of sorts until a non sprint sim is in. Fingers crossed!

Cellular Cornucopia: A Sort of Sprint Holiday Shopping Guide

the s5 actual out performs the nexus 5 in all of my test. I would say overall the galaxy s5 gives me the best LTE performance, the nexus was good, but it was plagued with battery issues, and the best Baseband for me was one I had to flash, the s5 is using stock Baseband.Disappointing that at least Samsung doesn't seem to care much about good RF performance on a phone. The S5 seems to be meh, Note 4 similar meh, and the Edge is even worse. Motorola seems to realize that yes RF performance is important. Apple, too -

Looks to be a decent RF performer. Hopefully should be around Nexus 5 RF wise.

Sprint purportedly giving up on T-Mobile acquisition and Sprint CEO Dan Hesse to leave company

I think Son is going to let other companies try for TMobile. The three companies stated in an above comment , if approved for the buyout, will raise prices, not complete the edge to LTE upgrades. Leaving sprint to gain from their subscriber lose. T-Mobile will return to the red once again. Also I have a feeling that sprint is going to go after some regional carrier they have the roaming agreements with.

Will LTE service on Rural Roaming Preferred Program partner networks be native coverage for Sprint customers?
in The Wall

Oh so basically they will run LTE with Verizon back end, and also Sprint spectrum LTE as well? But Sprint only having access to the Sprint side of the deal, and same for Verizon? There are Verizon rural partners participating in the CCA. They will be opening up new coverage on their sites. These would be separate from the Verizon LTE network.

So I'm curious what Rural carrier could be covering the area southwest of Tyler Tx(east Texas)? The only other carrier is a Verizon affiliate.
