  1. Possibly related: Didn't AT&T have to show that B30 wouldn't interfere with Sirius XM signals? Was there a power restriction associated with that?
  2. . I don't have any new info. All my info is from public records. I've reached out to various people at SB County and Sprint but nobody has given me any answers. I wish I had more time to look into it.
  3. Unfortunately it is not linkable. Here's how you can get it though: 1. Go here: http://cob-sire.sbcounty.gov/sirepub/ 2. Change the date range in the search to: 8/15/15-10/15/15 3. Search for the keyword "Sprint" 4. Find the link labeled "Approve Amendment No. 5 to Revenue Agreement No. 0 - R1 CON-ISD-9-15-15-Nextel FRA Amd5.doc" The list of short-spaced sites is on page 88.
  4. As part of the agreement, there was also a waiver to short-space 26-27 Sprint (Nextel) sites. Hopefully these sightings go beyond those sites. (p. 88 of the 5th Amendment to Frequency Reconfiguration Agreement.)
  5. Look near the middle left for the white unit. You can see a sliver of another unit on the right side also.
  6. There was a lot of speculation about that when this report first came out: http://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/sprint-cfo-we-will-lease-some-spectrum-assets-via-spectrum-leaseco-within-next-several?curator=MediaREDEF Sprint's 800 MHz assets weren't mentioned in that article, so it may be related or something entirely different. I just happened to come across that info as I was searching the FCC database for anything about San Bernardino County.
  7. It does seem like SBC has missed the first round of incentives, but there are other rounds before the no incentive deadline. According to the FCC database, SBC has a ton of licenses in the 866-869 MHz range that expire either on 12/14/16 or 1/31/17. Not sure if that really means anything. On a side note it looks like Sprint is transferring its 800MHz licenses to a new Softbank subsidiary "SoftBank Group International GK" that sits between the head company "SoftBank Group Corp." and the 2 holding companies (Starburst & Galaxy) that make up the majority ownership of Sprint. From the FCC doc: "As a result of reorganizing in a way that improves its value, SoftBank is better positioned to manage and invest in Sprint’s operations over the long term. "
  8. TMO has done a great job of expanding its footprint. Like all the carriers they exaggerate their coverage, but I have nothing but respect for their ability to execute their plans. I really don't understand being a cheerleader for any of the carriers unless you're on their payroll. We just happen to know a lot more about the Sprint network thanks to the hard work of Robert & staff and the contributions of many knowledgeable members. So, since the information is Sprint centric, it makes sense that the conversation here is centered around Sprint.
  9. There are still some Nextel panels up in SoCal. I know of two sites on tall buildings that are co-located with Clear equipment. Both are near LAX.
  10. In LA Metro I've noticed several Clear sites that duplicated Sprint B41 have been decommissioned recently. All Clear gear on the tower racks have been removed from those sites.
  11. If you're doing In-N-Out I suggest the LAX location. Grab a burger and sit at the park next door as planes fly close overhead. Grand Central Market has an old LA feel to it and there's a wide variety of food. Howlin' Rays chicken is a good spot for fried chicken. Philippe The Original - if you like French Dip sandwiches. Every politician stops here for a photo op. Manichi Ramen - best ramen in Little Tokyo and less crowded then the more well known place next door. Clifton's - The food is bleh, but it's a really cool space with a giant tree in the middle of this multi floor hipster magnet. Salt & Straw - This import from Portland has 3 LA locations. Larchmont, Venice & Studio City. Really good ice cream.
  12. Here are things that you'll only find in LA: The Warner Bros. VIP Tour - If you've never been on a studio lot it's a pretty good touristy thing to do. Griffith Observatory Planetarium - Live narration of shows is a nice contrast to most planetarium shows that are prerecorded. See a movie at the El Capitan - this is Disney's showcase theater. Live organ music, a live-pre show and movie related memorabilia set this theater apart. Plus it's a Dolby Atmos theater with laser projection. LA beer hop - microbreweries are popping up everywhere in LA. They do the driving and you do the drinking. There are some pretty good brews to check out. Drive the PCH. - it's California's quintessential beachfront highway. The beaches up north are less crowded. Take an introductory training flight out of Van Nuys - there's no faster way to see SoCal with our bad traffic. Plus you'll learn the basics of flying. Museums - LACMA, The Broad and MOCA are worth checking out for contemporary art. The Getty has a great location, but is more classical.
  13. I'm happy to make some suggestions, but it would help to know what your interests are. Food truck vs. Fine dining. Mexican wrestling vs. Art Museum. Kids vs. No kids.
  14. Have you reported the problems to Sprint? Anyone else you know having the same problems in that area? Have them report it too.
  15. There were 27 sites as part of the agreement that could be "short spaced" before the rebanding is completed. Maybe this is one of them or better yet, not one of them.
  16. I got a similar result (download) from the site near Western & Wilshire (not exact location). That site was on 39858.
  17. I believe some of them are live but I haven't had the time to do a proper confirmation.
  18. They're not looking to make friends with that design! The streetlight pole arm is curved so I get the necessity for different construction, but the horizontal footprint seems excessive. That said, it's nice to see the expansion.
  19. New roaming agreement for Northern New England: http://www.rcrwireless.com/20160706/carriers/sprint-network-expanding-in-rural-new-england-thanks-to-gnw-and-extenet-tag4 EDIT: RedSpark, you beat me by 3 minutes and your headline is better.
  20. I have some Mobilitie site locations for the LA Metro market. Where is an appropriate place to add that info?
  21. Are you still getting 39874? I came across 39858 (near a Mobilitie small cell.) Seems odd to have an EARFCN so close.
  22. Yesterday morning I had problems connecting to Clear B41 on my 6s with baseband 24.2. The problem has since been resolved.
  23. Does this mean I can't use my Sprint Touchpoint 1100 anymore? I demand a refund!
  24. Can you tell if you're able to connect to Clear B41 sites? I've noticed several Clear B41 sites in LA that I'm no longer able to connect to with the new baseband update. This same thing happened during the rollout of 24.1. It was resolved about 2-3 weeks later with an update on the network side.
  25. Maybe it's the same problem we had in the LA Metro market a few months ago. There was an incompatibility between a carrier update and site/core configuration that was fixed with an update on the network side.
