T-Mobile LTE & Network Discussion V2
AcctDeleted_cloudsurfer replied to lilotimz's topic in General Topics
Two iPhone 6s in a band 12 market. However, I know it shouldn't make a difference, but the 6s with the Samsung processor drops calls significantly more than the 6s with the TSMC processor. As an aside, both phones perform the same with battery drain. -
T-Mobile LTE & Network Discussion V2

My Tmo VoLTE experience isn't great. Working from home puts me right in the middle of three towers.. a daily dropped call or two is the norm. Disabling VoLTE solves the problem. So, in my experience where I live, VoLTE is not the panacea. (Cleveland, OH) -
iPhone 6S/6S Plus/6C Rumor Thread

I assume the iPhone 6S is still incapable of simultaneous voice and data. Correct? I apologize if this has been discussed and I missed it in the thread.. -
Network Vision/LTE - Cleveland/NE Ohio Market
AcctDeleted_cloudsurfer replied to Ianmac23's topic in Markets
I'm looking forward to more info on the 800 rollout in Cleveland. In building data coverage is still the pits in Ohio City, Downtown and Tremont. (I realize this is my experience as I'm in these places most for work and play) -

Network Vision/LTE - Cleveland/NE Ohio Market

My two lines also revert to 3G often. 1x is the norm in neighborhoods like Seven Hills, Mentor on the Lake, Old Brooklyn. I finally succeeded in convincing the other half to try Sprint in December. The spotty data coverage was expected (although I do see improvements). The larger disappointment definitely has to do with call quality in Cleveland. We've travelled to other cities and the Sprint call quality is very good. It's certainly iffy in Cleveland.. "digitizes" quite a bit and always in the same areas. Even the WiFi calling hasn't totally resolved the issues. Very much anticipating Sprint's plans for the next two years. -
How much is your Sprint bill every month?
AcctDeleted_cloudsurfer replied to Jaramie3's topic in General Topics
It was no easy sell to the other half.. but we're not disappointed for the price. Sure, LTE is spotty in NE Ohio.. but 3G is mostly usable. I know things will only get better with more b41 and when we can actually deploy widespread 800 here. -

About $106 with taxes/fees for 2 lines. $53 - ATT half price promotion with 10GB shared $20 - iPhone lease $20 - iPhone lease + taxes/fees -
Been a spectator in the forum for years.. Finally thinking of making the leap to Sprint. Tried the Half Price Event on Sprint.com and even with a proper downloaded .pdf bill all I get is: "Uh oh! We're having trouble reading your bill. Please visit a Sprint Store." I'm reluctant to turn in my phones from another carrier (something evil, and perhaps having to do with bells) in case it just doesn't work out. Anyone in the Cleveland area able to vouch for my leap of faith?

We're talking billion dollar corporations here.. no matter how someone spins it.. they all are fully vested in making the most money for their shareholders. I happen to prefer iOS, I have no adverse feelings for those who use Android or WM. I don't think for a second that any of these powerhouses would hesitate to litigate especially in the messed up US patent environment. All I'm saying is everyone needs to take a deep breath. Tech companies come and go.. today's rage is tomorrows antiquity. Back to Network Vision!

EDITORIAL: C'mon people, you really do want access to the LTE network early, right?
AcctDeleted_cloudsurfer commented on S4GRU's blog entry in The Wall
Despite the risk of offending (or ranting as it's seemingly always referred to), I'm going say a few things. I've monitored this site for months as my contract with another provider is ending soon and I'm very excited about leaving their clenches. I've learned a TON from this site and have recently donated to support it. However, the last couple of communications have startled me.. while excessive negative commentary and whining isn't productive, it's starting to feel a bit suppressed. I'm also feeling a sense that this site is for Sprint loyalists only and that those currently on other networks need not apply. True, I haven't posted a lot (and did "rant" unneccesarily on an occation) and I have primarily "consumed" a wealth of info from this site. I've learned when ATT and VZW aren't telling the truth. I even recognized when one of Sprint's own employees weren't telling me the truth. I really hope that all constructive negative critisim isn't frowned upon (or ignored). There is a great deal to learn from your detractors. -
Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands Network Vision/LTE Deployment schedule update

Yell at me all you want. The Greater Cleveland Metro area has over 2 million people and the City of Cleveland has a population density of about 5 times greater than PR. /rant -

I have to say.. I love PR and can't wait to go back.. but why the hell is PR getting NV before many many markets in the US?? Sorry PR, I love you.. but need NV in Cleveland first. -
Learning a lot too (also in CLE)! Very much want to leave AT&Tea.. but my partner's business relies on reliable voice quality and semi-fast data. Cautiously optimistic Sprint can fit the bill!
