  1. So far Springfield is around Sangamon Ave only. I haven't been out to the west end for a bit but downtown and Stevenson areas are still 3G. Its been on for a bit but sometimes goes off I'm assuming as they tweak things. I can't wait until it hits the south side. I work there and love punishing their towers streaming music all day!
  2. What I don't get is that at work in south Springfield I get great signal. At home on the north side I get a faint bar on my S3. Been this way for a couple months now. Occasionally will see decent coverage at home but rare. Get tons of dropped calls and bad service where I need it most unfortunately.
  3. Get used to it all going up and down. My phone keeps seeing RTT & 800 for voice and EVDO & eHRPD for data in Springfield. The data side has been most stable and once eHRPD goes up pretty decent speeds. Voice has been and continues to be spotty. With the rework of towers I'm imagining a lot of balancing between them. When the new stuff is working its great otherwise its worse than before they started.
  4. No luck so far. We do have a lot better 3G. Used to be really weak at work but is a lot better now.
  5. I don't so much mind it. I know I'm getting something good at the end of the day. The wife isn't so understanding.
  6. Springfield has been a mess. Sometimes I get 800 others RTT. There seems to be a lot better data and when 800 is up great voice. The wife's iPhone 4s has horrible voice seemingly no matter what. I'm hoping it gets better sooner since she makes more voice calls than I do. Better data helps out at work for tunes though.
  7. So when can we expect LTE in relation to all this?
  8. From other threads on this forum I was under the impression that 800 would be up before they cut iden?
  9. Think all their focused on now is ditching iden by months end. Springfield has been up and down on 800. But the data speeds and signal quality has noticeably improved. Call quality is still up in the air as is dropped calls. The wife's iPhone seems to not run well where my s3 is fine.
  10. Springfield had 800 mhz up for a few days. Had great signal and I notice today its off again and were back to EVDO. We also went from about a dozen upgrades in the area to nearly 50 in the last couple weeks according to the Sprint map. This will probably fluctuate greatly for the next few weeksmonths but its good to see things are moving forward.
