  1. This is great to see. I had always wondered why more and more carriers weren't trading their PCS spectrum to make it more contiguous across their footprint. Being such an old band, it is very random since it's been thru a lot of acquisitions for most carriers. Hopefully they continue trading so all carriers can benefit from more contiguous spectrum, considering all big 4 use it for LTE (band 2/25).

Usually it's tough because there is existing consumer traffic on the spectrum so you have to be smart about it.

  2. All things considered, I'd rather take the experience of dual band 1900/800 broadcasting from the same tower rather than a tri-band broadcasting from two different towers. At least for now.

I'm torn though, I have an upgrade available to get the 5S, and can sell my 5 for at least the cost of the 5S, if not more, so what to do?

I also am looking to upgrade my fiancee's phone, from a 4S to a 5S, and I'm sure she'll be happy with it.

  3. I get what most of you are saying .. cut Sprint some slack but when you have been a customer for as long as I have been and bought a wimax phone with the promise of wimax coming. (Which it never did) Then buying a LTE phone with the promise of that coming leaves me alitlle skeptical. I do believe it will happen sometime but if it doesn't happen by the end of this contrac I will be switching carriers. My co-worker has AT&T LTE phone and they were supposed to be the last to upgrade this area and guess what he now gets over 45Mbps all the time. I can not even get 780Kbps in Norfolk Va where updates have started or so they say.

I've been a customer since 1999, and have seen both the good and the bad. I'm in a much more dense area (NYC), and my average speeds hovered around 200Kbps, but I know it's coming. I know how much work is going into it, so I know what the end results will be.

That being said, like I told one of my friends. You have to do what's best for you. If you find yourself wanting to try another carrier, go for it. We'll see you in two years when your contract is up and you're tired of paying $20-$30 more a month.

  4. I live in NYC in the borough of Queens. If i'm right, I think I see some completion on the map for the area of NYC or that could also be northern New Jersey. Can you please provide any updates on NYC. Thank you guys and keep up the GREAT work.

I feel your pain on the NJ and Queens coverage issues...I live in Jersey, and my girl lives in Queens, so I'm there often and have reverted to WIFI for all data when I'm at her place.

Thankfully I live about 1.5 blocks from a Sprint tower, so I get awesome 3G and 4G.
